This “hurricane” hasn’t amounted to much in the OC part of the LA Basin. Points east of us may have been hit harder.

This report reveals a severe bias in reporting.
This was nowhere near a record rainfall in most areas, and
as for wind, it was non-existent in two place I know of,
from San Diego to Northern Los Angeles.
I doubt that this is a record even for this date, but if it
is, it is nothing compared to the rain we had earlier this
year. The idea this is some sort of record is preposterous
unless you limit comparisons severely, and are solely intent
on misleading readers.

It was a non-event here in San Diego. A little rain and no high winds. A couple of our winter storm this year were stronger.

"How many of you California FReepers are up in trees right now?" I think that people would agree that I've spent most of my life out of my tree.

I literally just walked down to the beach from my house and the rain is just a mist. Barely anyone felt the earthquake. Everything is fine. The fear mongering is just like the covid thing.

The area recorded 2.06 inches of rain on Sunday, a record for the August date, a National Weather Service forecaster said. That's a Noah's Ark level deluge.

Saw a pic of a lot of water in Dodger stadium parking lot.
They were predicting a lot of rain for Palm Springs area. Wonder how they made out.
