King Trump will not mix with his underlings. He will just wait for the coronation.

Should be turned away. The invite is for President Trump, not his spawn.

I was shocked when I saw this... but then I started thinking... This might be a great move.

And he is bringing Bass-Mouthed Kim with him.

That’ll help.

I’ll show an interest in any candidates at that debate when Deep State starts arresting them on bogus charges because they intend to restore our republic if elected.

Most of the RINOs at the debate will be mostly going after Trump. His name will come up more than Biden’s.

Gimme a break. This is almost as insulting to voters as Trump bailing on the debates altogether and going off to do a puff piece interview with a fan.

I had to study this submission to be sure it was not fabricated by the Babylon Bee. It SEEMS sort of plausible, that Donald Trump Junior would step in to divert some of the spin that would surely be directed at Donald Trump Senior.

Donald J. Trump is a very quick-witted scion who responds directly and with some originality to attacks upon Team Trump. The analogy of the fruit and the tree applies here.

Translation, I want to ensure I take away every other voice from this race, so I will hold a competing program and ensure that my son is there. That way my loyal supporters never hear a word they might like and others who do tune in with an open mind will hear my talking points from Jr without the chance for other candidates to respond (bonus: while saying repeatedly how inferior they are). I was OK with him skipping this debate and letting the others weed out the joke candidates. Then I thought it was disrespectful, tacky, and cowardly, to try to take away from letting other candidates be heard by the MAGA fans by doing a competing interview (if so confident then why not let them here from potential VPs?) . Now he pulls this. This is just egotistical and and beyond insulting to the other candidates, his supporters, and the people in general. It scream s“great and powerful oz complex!

Didn’t GOP set strict rules about who can be in the debate? Like campaign contributions, a certain standing, and being a candidate?

Just like Biden, another old man that can’t risk getting on the debate stage with younger candidates. He can’t afford those optics, so send the son.

It’s not surprising since Trump must avoid having to defend his COVID failure; turning the nation over to Fauci and the swamp. Lockdowns, $300B in inflationary CARES money to fund them, and his”beautiful” vaccine death jabs that he has called one of the greatest achievements of mankind must now be memory holed.

I wouldn’t want to start a tradition of stand-ins and surrogates at these debates. These things are boring and off-topic enough as it is.

Thank you for referencing that article thegagline.

"Donald Trump Jr. says he’ll be at Republican debate as dad’s surrogate"

As a side note to this thread, please consider the following.

Constitutionally enumerated rules for electing a new president were undoubtedly primarily intended for finding the best person to be Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces, also to negotiate trade / treaty agreements.

On the other hand, electoral vote rules are great overkill (imo) for trying to find the best person to sign legislation to run the US Mail Service, one of the very few powers that the states have expressly constitutionally given to the feds to dictate an aspect of peacetime domestic policy, most "federal" domestic policy now based on stolen state powers imo.

It's too bad that the “asleep at the wheel” states never required candidate voters to first pass a simple constitutional division of state and federal powers test before being allowed to vote. After all, misguided, constitutionally illiterate immigrant voters have inadvertently abused their voting power by effectively turning the Oval Office into a throne room imo.

After all, consider that that a voter qualification test doesn't have to be more difficult than passing a written driver test imo.

“3. The Constitution was written to be understood by the voters [emphasis added]; its words and phrases were used in their normal and ordinary as distinguished from technical meaning; where the intention is clear, there is no room for construction and no excuse for interpolation or addition.” —United States v. Sprague, 1931.

Also, consider that if the 10th Amendment had been written as the 1st Amendment, amendments 1 though 9 moved down a number, that people would probably have a better grip on the vast powers of the states to serve the people.

In other words, the BoR should begin as follows.

"1st Amendment: The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

2nd Amendment: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

3rd Amendment: A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

..."

In fact, the congressional record shows that Rep. John Bingham, a constitutional lawmaker, had emphasized that the drafters of the Constitution had left the care of the people to the states, not the feds.

”Simply this, that the care of the property, the liberty, and the life of the citizen, under the solemn sanction of an oath imposed by your Constitution, is in the States and not in the federal government [emphases added]. I have sought to effect no change in that respect in the Constitution of the country.” —John Bingham, Congressional. Globe. 1866, page 1292 (see top half of third column)

That being said, Democratic and Republican Trump-supporting patriots need to get ready ASAP to support hopeful Trump 47 by primarying ALL state and federal, lawmakers and executives, except for MTG and Gaetz (and others?) for the 2024 primaries.

After all, lawmakers and executives continue to show that they do not have the patriotism and leadership skills necessary to find legislative support for effective remedies for unconstitutional government policies.

Again, since one of the very few powers that the states have expressly constitutionally given to the big, bad federal government to dictate peacetime domestic policy is to run the US Mail Service, the worst problem that the country would otherwise be looking at with a new Congress of Trump-supporting freshman lawmakers is arguably a delay with mail delivery.

Trump can endorse candidates from lists that patriots who respect the federal government's constitutionally limited powers provide for him, as long as candidates are not incumbents, candidates also promising to repeal the 16th (direct taxes) and 17th (popular voting for federal senators) Amendments after they win office.

The definition of insanity is reelecting your beloved career state and federal lawmakers and executives over and over again, expecting those same politicians to find remedies for unconstitutional government policies every time.

Patriots, let's not allow ourselves to be fooled for third time in 2024 by the corrupt, constitutionally undefined political parties that have pirated control of state and federal governments.
