Just talked to a friend who has been in LA since the storm began, and he told me that the media greatly exaggerated the effects of the storm.
3 whole inches. Only a southern CaCaLand native could be terrified.
Newsome’s alarm is ‘cause this is another reason it will be difficult for him to declare a water emergency. Ahh, poor baby. Not gonna act like a big boy and bully folks.

If they warn honestly with “honest intentions”, but they didn’t. It was fraud and misrepresentation at it’s best to sell the climate change hoax.
They purposely exaggerated the true scope of this storm. They knew full well it was going to peter out just as it always does when they come up the pacific coast. But you can’t sell the climate change hoax without misrepresentation and fear porn. It was fraud with intent to defraud.
They even lied about the last time it was “hasn’t been this bad since...”. The storm that hit Southern Ca in 2014 was worse than any in history. But see... That doesn’t work for the hype scam. It was too soon, it needed to be “worst in 80 years” to properly climate scare the idiots in mass. Funny thing is, they would have been just as scared if it had been 10 years ago or 80 years ago.
But they went out of their way to make it more melodramatic even though it was not really needed. They keep doing this and it will indeed kill more people in the end. Because just like car alarms, folks will no longer pay any attention to their lies and ignore them. This will be a huge problem when a real and true danger hits.
The storm was heading toward LA. Just like when “Super storm” Sandy hit NYC. LA and NYC are home bases for the major media and hollywood.
Meanwhile, E. Palestine is still waiting for help.

It was terrifying. My sister (San Diego) and bro in law had a bush in the front yard that had a couple broken branches and a friend had their flight cancelled. They were bombarded with end of the world proclamations. I am surprised Gavin didn’t order the state to wear masks to save them from the storm of the century.
It was fear porn, pure and simple.
Do you really think that a competent meteorologist couldn’t tell that this storm was going to lose a lot of power once it moved inland?
There was some fair to good flash flooding in the desert areas, I have lived in the desert for a good portion of my life and seen flash floods just as big out of regular winter and spring storms.
Only an idiot would buy a home in a desert dry wash (hint, they are not always dry) and only a fool would try to cross a flooded road during a flash flood.
They were not warning people to save lives; they were pimping and pumping this moderate to small summer storm to HYPE THEIR GLOBAL WARMING AGENDA!
