Yes, that makes a critical difference. Vivek was raised as a Brahmin from the Indian culture. You don't just shake that off in a single generation of emigration.
Indian culture created a 6,000-year-old system of castes and used that system to oppress and control their hundreds of ethnic minorities. The system was created by white conquerors from the northern lands and is frankly and unapologetically racist. It is effective too.
Deception is an essential skill for personal advancement and even survival in that system. Truth-telling is not.
We ignore this at our own peril.
Vivek has superior abilities to discern and tell us exactly what we want to hear. Well, most of the time anyway. He can even be useful to us as he keeps Democrat opponents off-balance with his proposals.
Push that Overton Window to the far right, man!
But Vivek should not be trusted.
Actually, no politician can be entirely trusted. Not Trump. Not DeSantis. Certainly not any of the Republican seven dwarfs, nor any Democrat at all. No one is coming to save us! We will have to do that ourselves.

So? Lots of foreigners born here who are far more foreign than American. They hate this country and want to change it. Lots of Indians come here for a paycheck, get citizenship, and then crap on us.
