Here in San Antonio, last night we were greeted with alerts from the state electric grid controller that our area might need to resort to "rolling blackouts" to "preserve the grid", and asking folks to cut back on their usage between 8 and 10PM. Apparently enough folks cut back so that no blackouts were needed.
The reason....calm to low wind speeds with windmills not producing their needed share.
May T. Boone Pickens rot in hell...
Texas needs to build nukes, not windmills...

You have to ask yourself how tax incentives are possible. A wind generation company gets a tax incentive so they can build & install more wind generators, but who is it that provides that tax incentive? Don’t say the U.S. government because they are essentially broke.
