ATHENS, Greece (AP) – Greek fire department officials arrested two men on Saturday for allegedly deliberately starting wildfires as hundreds of firefighters battle blazes that have been blamed for 21 deaths.
One man was arrested on Evia for allegedly deliberately setting fire to dried grass in the island’s Karystos area. The fire department said the man confessed to having set four other fires in the area in July and August.

Yeah. Last Tuesday there were 3054 lightning strikes in a 24 hour period. Most fire starts in northern CA and Canada are in remote locations. Bad guys, generally speaking, do not hike several miles through difficult terrain in extreme temperatures to commit a crime. Most arson is roadside or otherwise easy access/egress locations.

Indeed.3 years later they’re still investigating the Alameda fire when I lost everything.
One guy in jail. The rest were from out of town and paid these bums to set out gas cans in a windstorm and 103 degree weather.
