Putin will not attend G20 summit in India next month

The Russian president faces arrest if he travels abroad on a warrant accusing him of war crimes in Ukraine, issued by the International Criminal Court.

Russian President Vladimir Putin will not attend the G20 summit in India next month, the Kremlin has announced.

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said on Friday that travel is currently not on Putin’s agenda because he is concentrating on the special military operation, which is what the Kremlin calls Russia’s war against Ukraine.

But another issue is keeping him at home. The International Criminal Court has issued an arrest warrant for Putin accusing him of war crimes in Ukraine, something the Kremlin strongly denies.

This means he risks arrest when travelling abroad. Peskov did not mention the warrant in his comments.

Putin did not fly to Indonesia for the summit of the group’s summit last year. He also skipped attending the BRICS summit in South Africa this week and instead took part via video link.

Kant said the G20 wants growth but war has created “a huge implication in terms of economics” by bringing challenges regarding food, fuel and fertiliser.

“The war is not our creation,” Kant said. “Our challenge is to put developmental issues right in the forefront.”

This an article putting egg on the faces of those here who loudly, persistently and proudly aid and abet the crimes against humanity perpetuated by Russia.

Putin can't travel. He can't show up as head of the state of Russia. He can't attend the pretensive BRICS meeting. Putin is in fact indicted as world class murderer and a wanted criminal

Russia is shown to be the trivial committer of war crimes not tolerated by the world. BRICS is shown to be mostly hot air and boastfulness when a primary member leader is a world class criminal.

A good thread would have you and your fellow Neocons explaining why America is dying while you concern yourselves with Slavic shitholes.

And I suspect, he can’t fly for the same reason Prigozhin shouldn’t have.

This isn’t one of them. Children think in binary terms.
It isn’t pure isolationism or every single battle ever.

Vlad is too sickly to travel. Though, he can always send one of his doubles to India to jaw with the other BRIC heads. The US Dollar is as strong as ever. Used for trade and as the world’s reserve currency. The BRICs are flaking away/

India isn't party to the dopey international criminal court so the notion that Putin can't attend the upcoming G20 because he'll be "arrested" is just neo-liberal bull crap.

There may be something big coming from Russia in the weeks ahead that requires Putin's focus and attention, its not like he doesn't have a lot on his plate already....or maybe he just gonna be on vacation.

The G20 has turned into a joke. It was always a consolation prize for those not allowed into G8 G7 etc. He’s got way too much going on to go pose for those idiotic group photos in native garb.

Are you referring to Putin or President Trump?

As a thought exercise, if some nation decides to roll the dice and arrest Putin. What exactly do people expect to happen next? Russia would just shrug and just go onto a vice president and accept that we arrested their president? Or nuclear blackmail? Nuclear attack? Retaliatory kidnapping of leaders in those countries? I predict arresting the leader of Russia would not go nearly as smoothly as the idiots in the ICC and Washington in London believe.

Putin never locked up Americans for protesting a stolen election.
Nor is he flooding this country with foreign brown-skinned invaders.
There’s nobody stealing in stores in Moscow. Nor is there fentanyl-addicted homeless roaming the streets.
You people who have this Moby Dick thing for Putin just amazes me.
All you care about is more indigenous whites dying to please Globalist Oligarchs.

Exactly. There's this story of a Russian diplomat who was held for ransom by some African or Middle Eastern country. Russia tried to negotiate his release but was told to pound sand.

Russia then captured several of their men and had their heads gift-wrapped, or so the story goes.

Anyway, even the Italian Mafia was in awe and feared the Russians.

Meanwhile, you support crimes against humanity and support an American enemy

You go to extremes to oppose America by supporting one of it’s greatest enemies. It’s no wonder that President Trump has such a hard job attempting to MAGA

My enemies are in D.C., not Moscow.

You go to extremes to oppose America by supporting one of it’s greatest enemies.

You really believe the U.S. is still the good guy?

Our country is corrupt and divided beyond repair and you clowns are still worrying about picking a fight with Russia.

It’s no wonder that President Trump has such a hard job attempting to MAGA

My support for Trump only extends to the point where he got legitimately screwed out of an election and was hamstrung throughout this first term. That being said, I'm not putting all my chips on him to make things better. Pretty much all politicians are owned by the very people who have destroyed this country through endless wars, mass illegal immigration, homosexuality/transgenderism/pedophilia, and usury banking.
