How come they can put our pets “to sleep” humanly, but not people?
Because vets are doctors. The guys doing the injection at the pen are not. Doctors/nurses refuse to participate in executions.
So whether or not they find a vein and actually manage to inject into one is a gamble at best.
They don’t. They use dogs to experiment with execution drugs, and the result isn’t pretty. My daughter and I had this discussion just last night, and she disagreed with me. Then, she listed the drugs used to kill my dog which are the same ones used for execution, but one. They relaxed him, paralyzed him, and then burned the crap out of his veins and heart with potassium. The never put him to sleep so he wiuldn’t suffer. I told he that when it comes time to put my current dog down, it will be with the same drugs that drug addicts use. They never know they even passed out and died when you wake them up with narcan.
People who commit horrible autricities have earned some potassium pain, but dogs don’t.
I hàve no idea what nitrogen does except that it’s in normal breathing air.
My husband the chemist says this is humane.
