KENTON COUNTY, Ky. — U.S. Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) made a stop in northern Kentucky Wednesday, where during a media gaggle, he appeared to have some trouble understanding and speaking with reporters.
McConnell was in northern Kentucky for the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce Government Forum in Kenton County.
The Senate Republican leader spoke at the podium for several minutes, touching on topics like the Brent Spence Bridge project.
During the media gaggle following the forum, McConnell appeared to have another episode where he was having a hard time hearing reporters and taking a long pause before aides had to step in to help him out and repeat questions before he was eventually led away.
According to a McConnell spokesman, "McConnell felt momentarily lightheaded and paused during his press conference today."
Last month, the Republican senate leader was speaking at his weekly GOP leadership news conference on Capitol Hill when he stopped mid-sentence and went silent for several seconds.
People near him eventually intervened to ask if he was OK, and he then stepped away from the podium.
He did eventually return.
McConnell was asked by CNN what happened and if it was related to his fall earlier this year. He answered, “No, I’m fine,” and moved on to other reporters.

Cough, Cough, Bullsh..I wonder if the only reason they keep propping this guy up is because KY has a Democrat Governor, and they are afraid he will appoint himself
Evidently that cannot happen in Kentucky.
I think the KY gov has to appoint a senator of the same party. I read they changed the law a while ago because of Mitch’s age.
It’s kind of sad that they make new laws because of one fossil’s condition.
Yertle the Turd-le
I think the Governor has to appoint someone of the same party, perhaps even the recommendation of the state GOP chair. Not sure though.
We are living in bizarro world. Zombieland. The people running the show are unelected, unseen, and uninvited. We need to find them and destroy them.
yikes... that is FU FUnny right there.

Bravo! Bravo!

Possibly transient ischemic attack (TIA), aka “mini strokes.” My grandmother had them. If that’s what it is, McConnell should be on blood thinners because sadly the real stroke is on its way.

I'll bet he's on enough drugs to choke a horse.
He is but a shell of the man he once was.
I feel he has one month.
Normally I would feel great sympathy for a person going through this. He obviously isn’t right.
But this only makes me feel anger.
This man is taking part in destroying this country.
Instead of having the decency and consideration for his country and retiring, he, his staff, and probably most of the people in what we refer to as “The Deep State” think this is just fine.
That's true, but Bashear is on record as saying he will ignore that law and appoint whoever he chooses ...
“appears” to freeze up?
He probably already is.
Plavix didn’t work out well for me, so had another stroke
Eliquis seems to do the trick so far

This is far from being fine, it's despicable. It tells me alot about our corrupt government operators.
