The thousands of acres we needed to raise oats for the horses have either been paved over, or we need them to grow food, or he’ll used the for wind and solar farms.

Not a serious proposal. Horses’ pollution was why over 100 years ago cars became popular.
I do love horses. But in big cities, that love would not be shared by many.

It doesn’t just stay at the bottom of shoes, either. In a big city, the horse turds get pulverized and airborne. I don’t know if it causes global warming, but it can’t be healthful.

Horses fart. Cows do not. Their four stomach digestive system makes gas accumulation dangerous to them, and the high carb diet some of them get in order to increase milk output causes the gas to accumulate, and mess up the alignment of their stomachs. They need an operation when that happens. Very common with Holsteins. Unheard of with grass-eating Jerseys.
I wonder if horse farts cause global warming. But not much. I really don’t GAGS.
