The article mentions a 1.48% increase for 20 to 25 years. For 20 years that's a factor of 1.0148 ^ 240 = 34, and for 25 years it's 1.0148 ^ 300 = 82. So electricity prices would rise by a factor of 34 to 82 if I am understanding correctly.

And this is just what they’re admitting to.

It will actually be much more expensive than that.

NYS is getting run into the ground at an exponentially fast rate. They’re looking for a bail out

Anyone looking for a bailout has to get audited not my. They get to spend money like this. Like a drunken sailor and corporations will throw money at it.

Why? I don’t know. I left there decades ago seeing their nonsense

More cost, less reliability.
Brought to you by liberals, who know more than you do...but accomplish much less.

It is stupid to install solar cells in New York State when those solar cells would allow China to reduce CO2 emissions about six times more if deployed in southeastern China.

Solar cells should first be used in places with lots of sunshine that use coal to generate electricity - India and China.

There are some states like Texas that get lots of sunshine and use coal to generate electricity:

New York State should rely on available Canadian hydro and natural gas electricity.

64% increase from the producers, keystoned by the suppliers, in order to pay off the politicians and have a sustainable profit equals a 128% increase in energy costs.

No price is too great if it saves the planet!

(How can people not see how ridiculous this sounds?)

Oh, but it’s OK because it’s just wholesale prices. Everyone knows the wholesalers will just absorb the price increase and not pass it on to consumers.
