As evidenced by them taking 2.5x longer to sell than a traditional combustion engine powered car and a hybrid car.
They're also hitting the secondary used car market in decent numbers here. When I say "secondary used car market" they're not on dealer lots. They're showing up on secondary dealer / independent used car / small car dealer lots.
When cars show up on these lots they're to be avoided. Something wrong with em that dealers didn't want and auctioned off.
It isn’t a ruse...it it control. They just want us to look at something else and get distracted.
Then, one day, we will drive our mandated electric car to some distant destination, stop to charge, and get a notice that you will be supplied with enough of a charge to get back to your designated zone, and if you proceed forward, you will be unable to charge your car again.
And this won’t come from the charger. It will come from the car. So you won’t be able to get a pirate charge somewhere.
So, let’s say you decide to drive 800 miles to Washington DC to protest something. The first time you stop and try to pay, it will notify you that you will need to accept a charge and turn around.
But if you continue, you will find that when you stop to buy a cup of coffee and dinner, that your financial account has been shut down as well, and you must return back to your designated area, where your account will be re-enabled.
Every person will have a dossier kept by the government. Now, they call it a “Social Credit Score”, but that has built up enough negative baggage to require them to name it something else such as PDS Score (Patriot Dedication Score) or more likely, given their penchant for Orwellian prose, something like HERO Score (Honorably Empowered, Reliably Open-minded) for the “model” citizen.
Or some other inane designation.
There will, of course, be PCS (Pirate Charging Stations) and there will be methods to set up alternate forms of payment systems to allow people outside their designated zone to purchase goods and services, and these will be mercilessly hunted down and prosecuted. It will either be a capital crime, or a long term in a prison in which you are not expected to survive.
The FBI, Secret Service, Homeland Security will prosecute vigorously and bring each trial to a public conclusion. Regardless of guilt, the public would say “Well, they shouldn’t have been engaging in circumventing the law.”
In all of this, if you don’t turn around, stop buying things you shouldn’t, or...whatever, you car is shut down, your money is shut off, you are locked out of your home (yes, the government will have control of your door locks too. And your electricity usage. And your water usage.
In the end, you will get a message to “Citizen: Stay where you are. The police or their designated surrogate will be there at 23:05 to assist you in re-enabling your private resources. If you cooperate, this will be accomplished speedily and efficiently.”
