I keep thinking about 19 defendants-—and ALL OF THEIR LAWYERS filling up the courtroom to overflowing every minute of every day.
Easier to herd cats out in the open range.
Well if they don’t give them immunity...states need to file criminal charges against Biden and the entire white house asap.
Looks like we agree that Trump filed a false statement, and disagree maybe on whether Trump will get off on a technicality.
Because of the iffy character of the statute of limitation, I wouldn’t lead with the N.Y. case. If I were the Democrats, I would lead with the Fla. case. Even if Trump can declassify document by thinking it, declassifying the documents doesn’t make the documents his property. The documents still belong to the U.S. government.
Two of Trump’s lawyers quit the documents case when they could, and Trump replaced them with the lawyer representing him in the false statements case. The new lawyer has worked with two other Trump associates, both of whom pleaded to lesser changes in return for reduced sentences.
His new attorney in the documents case wasn’t the long-time treasurer of Trump Enterprises who pleaded guilty to tax fraud and to testify in the hush money case in return for a reduced sentence.
Hi, Liz..
“Eritrean” violence is a new word we are hearing about. A new front against free people, who attempting to sweep from Israel to Calgary. Netanyahu banishes them from Israel, while TrueDough gently polices the little fellows, quite a different approach from the treatment of Canadians peacefully protesting the government shutting in citizens and shutting down their businesses and supply chains, over C19 tyranny.

That’s a prerequisite for admission.
I disagree that Trump filed a false statement. To my understanding, the payoff to Stormy Daniels came from Cohen, who them billed Trump for “legal services”. Trump paid Cohen’s bill.
The novel claim in the NY payments case is twofold:
1 - The payments in question (due to the statute of limitations) occurred after Trump’s stake in Trump, Inc. was placed in a blind trust so Trump could be President.
2 - The “underlying crime” that extended the statute of limitations is a federal charge, for which the governing body in fedgov has evaluated and passed on charging.
Alvin Bragg has straddled the state/federal fence with aplomb, skewering his cohones in the process, IMO.
You may be on to something. Cohen paid off the girl Trump was stiffing (one meaning) and then Trump stiffed Cohen (another meaning). Ipso facto, e pluribus unim, hocus pocus, etc., etc., ad infinitum, Trump did not pay the girl as of the time he filed.
Only later, when Cohen sued Trump for non-payment, did Trump make good on Cohen’s “legal service.”
