I was in the IT Industry for 38 years, some of the smartest people I know in that industry never had any certifications.
Did Mark Zuckerburg and Bill Gates have any certifications, the point being, certifications don’t mean anything other than you took a few tests.
Over the years I’ve held certifications from Microsoft, Citrix, HP and Cisco Systems, I took those tests to show I was willing to support whatever I was assigned to support.
MY main area of support was Cisco Systems, I’ve know Cisco CCIEs who had never installed anything other than they were really smart at studying and taking a onsite lab test.
