New York City Mayor Eric Adams shifted the blame on his expanding migrant crisis to a “madman down in Texas.” The mayor referred to the migrant busing program Texas Governor Greg Abbott created under his Operation Lone Star border security mission.
The mayor bragged about the city’s comeback, which he says has been derailed by the migrant crisis facing the sanctuary city of New York. “And then what happened?” Adams asked. “It started with a madman down in Texas [who] decided he wanted to bus people up to New York City.” The mayor commented during a September 6 town hall meeting.

Has actually little to do with Adams or Abbott. Both are merely reacting in ways as they know how, from different political stances. But the political drama need continue, or else the ACTUAL problem will be unavoidably headline news every day.

Personally, until the border is closed -- closed -- I look to enjoy the pressure building on inner-city Democrats, at whose doorsteps the crisis has landed.
Advice to conservative municipalities and states: 1) cut welfare support, and 2) advertise where the Democrats "say" they will provide support. Until they squeal loudly.

The migrants were coming anyway, this was just - faster. The Federal regime was already planting the migrants in various smaller venues all over the rest of the United States, in the dark of night, and with no advance warning at all.
And those places were not even “sanctuaries”. They REALLY did not want the sudden and wholly unwelcome burden thrust upon them.
Yep, and all the school districts are forced by law to “school them” and they don’t have required vaccines for such things as polio. AND taxpayers will foot the bill for all the extra teachers required.
This is a mess, this school issue alone is an issue on the solver platter for the GOP, but nobody is mentioning it.
Maybe it is time for Glenn Youngkin, I don’t know why the GOP keeps dropping the ball on this issues that resonate with folks on the other side as well as the GOP.
