Therefore, in accordance with section 202(d) of the National Emergencies Act (50 U.S.C. 1622(d)), I am continuing for 1 year the national emergency declared in Executive Order 13848 with respect to the threat of foreign interference in or undermining public confidence in United States elections."

I, Donald J. Trump, President of the United States of America, find that the ability of persons located, in whole or in substantial part, outside the United States to interfere in or undermine public confidence in United States elections, including through the unauthorized accessing of election and campaign infrastructure or the covert distribution of propaganda and disinformation, constitutes an unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security and foreign policy of the United States. Although there has been no evidence of a foreign power altering the outcome or vote tabulation in any United States election, foreign powers have historically sought to exploit America's free and open political system. In recent years, the proliferation of digital devices and internet-based communications has created significant vulnerabilities and magnified the scope and intensity of the threat of foreign interference, as illustrated in the 2017 Intelligence Community Assessment. I hereby declare a national emergency to deal with this threat.

I see. Trump supporters need DeSantis’ true claim that he deployed with the SEALs clarified because they’re low-information voters.
So, here is my question to you: if being a Navy lawyer deployed to a combat zone with Seal Team One isn’t good enough for you; just like being a Navy pilot show down over North Viet Nam, and then tortured, isn’t good enough, what is good enough for you?

Lots of people deploy with SEAL teams. In a previous lifetime I served in a ‘Special Boat Unit’ that performed over the horizon insertion and extraction of Seal Teams. What needs to be clarified ???

Back in my day, I was told, as an infantryman, there were 14 others behind me supporting me. My instant thought was who can I get behind? But, in Iraq and Afghanistan, there were no front lines; or, maybe I should say, everybody was on the front lines. There was a sense that fuel truck drivers needed more courage than tank drivers. And, today, with drones, my goodness, everybody is vulnerable. I’m thinking it’s safer to be an infantryman than a driver of any sort. Including a driver of boat. Today, what counts is your willingness to do what you have to do to defend the country. Thank you for your service.
