To LA County:
Numbers please.
From the article:
“There’s been a spike in the number of COVID-19 workplace outbreaks in Los Angeles County over the past month.”
An increase from one person to three might be called a “spike.”
“L.A. County health officials say the rise in cases remind us the risk of COVID infection is always present.”
We know that. It is not a serious danger, though.
“In the last 30 days, health officials have investigated three times as many workplace outbreaks as the month before.”
See above.
“We’ve had 153 clusters reported from work sites,” said Dr. Dawn Terashita, associate director of acute communicable disease control at L.A. County Public Health.”
Define cluster.
And how many people are there in L.A. County?
I’d guess that 153 “clusters” of people who came down with sniffles in the county is — well — negligible. Probably less than the “clusters” of people shot at in the last 30 days.
10 to 13 million people live in LA county
