You can buy IR filters for a smart phone. You’d think the cops would have high-$$ IR gear.l they could slap on a drone.
Hell, I have a IR capable monocular. I got it on Amazon for $115.00 . It’s not the best image, but you can definitely see details not visible in the dark.
