?????
So there is a little collateral damage the main thing is the scam lives
Once something gets the green seal of approval, it generally gets a free pass regardless.
It’s all part of that “science* we follow today.
Sooo much wrong with his story. How did the battery become “detached” and how can it be assumed it belongs to a luxury vehicle if they don’t know the make/model of the vehicle it came from?
"Superintendent Adam Dewberry from Fire and Rescue NSW said that while battery fires were not uncommon, electric vehicles were not a concern for authorities."
Prediction: insurance underwriters are going to go head-to-head with NHTSA gov’t regulators regarding safety and indemnification of electric vehicles soon.
Meaning, EV insurance will either be severely limited, or unavailable within a few (3) years..
That’s okay though, GOVERNMENT will indemnify the industry - too big to fail, you know?
It’s for the children.
They get paid the same if the vehicle burns for 10 minutes (ICE) or 10 hours (EV).
Whatever happened to "who, what, where, when, how, why?"
“Superintendent Adam Dewberry”
Aka polically correct neutered cuck.
” electric vehicles were not a concern for authorities.”
well in theory the authorities are only concerned with what they are ordered i.e. paid to be concerned with
growing up, getting caught with beer by any of the local suburban PD’s meant an underage possession of alcohol charge. But in New Haven or Bridgeport, the cops would just take your beer and tell us to go back to suburbia where we belong.
same thing going on here. They are ordered not to make a big fuss about it.
You forgot “how much”? /s

Crickey!
This is the kind of event that has become more and more common because government apparatchiks are stupid and listen to environmental wackos instead of these people:
1,600 scientists, including two Nobel laureates, sign declaration saying “There is no climate emergency.”
Note to self
Dont park next to an EV
but they are a concern for other car owners
that may be, but until it becomes our overlords concerns, then the PD’s and FD’s and other authorities will ignore it, even if people are dying and property is getting destroyed
A) dont buy an electric car
B) try not to ride in electric cars
C) Dont park near electric cars
Not certain, but “Detached” probably means unconnected to a charging source. As the numbers of such cars increase, parked in crowded public garages say at airports and hospitals, and similar “accidents” are bound to occur. Guns don’t generally go off spontaneously but people still try to sue the manufacturers. All the companies producing and pushing these cars are far more logical targets for some juicy lawsuits.
