Ex-city Department of Buildings Commissioner Eric Ulrich allegedly ran a years-long scheme doling out political favors in exchange for more than $150,000 in bribes — including a $10,000 Mets season tickets package and a bespoke suit, Manhattan prosecutors alleged Wednesday.

The charges against Ulrich, 38, span five indictments and relate to his time serving in three political posts — including his days as a Queens councilman and his stint as an adviser to Mayor Eric Adams, the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office said.

Ulrich “monetized each and every elected role that he held in government,” Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg said at a press conference hours after the disgraced DOB head surrendered at the criminal courthouse.

massive bribery scheme

If $150K is considered "massive", then how do we classify the many millions of dollars scooped up by Hunter Biden and family?

Sounds like this guy is guilty of colluding with Trump, though he proably never met him and has no idea, yet, about what he is about to confess to in exchange for leniency.

“for more than $150,000 in bribes”

WTF?

Very, very, small change. Almost embarrassing.

The Grift and Glom around the Hudson Yards & Barclays Center deals would curl your bloomers.

As soon as you see “Big Al’s” name is invoked, you know there’s got to be more to the story.

I’m continually amazed at how cheaply politicians risk imprisonment.

Sadly, I’m beginning to think this is just standard operating procedure for all government officials.

If he gets a pass he’s a democrat.

If the story doesn’t tell us the crook’s politics, he’s a democrat.

If his party is in the headline he’s a Republican.

6 out of 15 members of the Los Angeles city council either has been convicted or quit and the others are being investigated for bribery.
They already get paid $218,328 per year and most everything is paid for like home, car, food, generous daily per diem.
First thing a newly elected Mark Ridley-Thomas did was try to spend $800,000 of taxpayer money for a office makeover.

Los Angeles has many other depts with it’s members taking bribes.
