A man who works at the front desk at a rock climbing gym said in a viral TikTok that people who work from home all day are now bringing "insane energy into public spaces."
Speaking on behalf of fellow hospitality and retail workers, the TikToker Alec Flynn told 1.4 million viewers last week: "If you're working from home all day, you need to have at least one more conversation or interaction before you come to a public place."

Not alone but a life wfh with spouse and kids....none better!
Says the generation espousing ideas such as "equity and inclusion." So you mean your bullshit ideals around a Godless society prostrate to the government are churning out sociopaths? Imagine.
Social contact, pleasant social contact on a regular basis, is essential to most of us.
But by no means all of us.
Don’t much care for myself...
Work from home on top of watching tv, the internet, and their phones, and sleeping through the night.
The average IQ is 100. That is average and nothing to brag about. Millions of people have below 100 IQ, some significantly below. You interact with these people every day out in “the world”. Being home can insulate you to a certain extent but eventually you have to go back out and wonder “what the &@$& is wrong with these people”. Sometimes they are wondering the same about you LOL.
I may have to agree with the guy, based upon an experience I had a few decades ago in China. I was a US consultant for the commissioning of a power plant that was in the interior, a fair distance from Shanghi. I was there for about two months. Not only was I the lone American there, I was also the only non Chinese at the plant. During the entire time I was there I was unable to speak to anyone in English (other than my interpreter, whose English was poor) and what made matters worse, everything was written in Chinese, so I couldn’t even read anything. Chinese, due to their written character set, with each character representing a word or concept, is quite different from European languages, where you have at least a shot at figuring out something that is written.
And here’s where I agree with the guy: On my return home I had a couple hour layover in Japan. I bumped into some poor US salesman and erupted in to a such a talking jag that I think that I made the poor guy’s ears bleed. Two months of pent up conversation vocalized in about ten minutes– poor guy.
The gym is for working out and not for socializing. Socializing at the gym means that people stand around blocking equipment because they need to have their inane conversations with their idiot friends. It means they take their time using equipment because they're in no rush - they're there to socialize, not work out.
Often, while one is working out on a machine, one or two of his friends is sitting on the machine next to it, not working out, and then gets annoyed when he has to move for someone who actually wants to use the machine. I've also had to deal with socializers using nearby equipment as a shelf to hold their water bottles and towels, and get annoyed when someone wants to use the equipment.
I've seen gabbers on a non-moving treadmill because they just had to continue their conversation with their buddy who's actually running on the treadmill next to them; fifteen minutes of just standing there, jawing away, because they have nothing else to do.
The socializers will even crowd the locker room, sharing nonsense from social media on their phones, completely oblivious to how they're blocking lockers of people who just want to drop off or pick up their stuff and get out of there.
I understand why some gyms turn up the volume of the music - to make it near impossible to talk to someone.
There are already enough people at the gym who don't belong there.

Ha-ha! Very amusing, especially the “fall” at the end.
I’ve been WFH for about 5 years, if not more. It is definitely different. Takes an attitude change, and you have to be largely self-motivated. I’d agree that you do need to get out and talk to people face to face occasionally.
