Gimme a break. They’re complaining about 10 miles? If I want a head of lettuce, I have to drive 12 miles east or14 miles west to get to a grocery store with fresh produce. Sometimes the Dollar General 5 miles away has one. But never fresh meats.
Thank God I garden. I garden therefore I can.

The closest grocery store where I grew up was about 15 miles away, about 5 miles of which was over a muddy/icy/dusty dirt road.

But when in dire need, there were fish and deer, squirrels, etc.

There are 6 W-M Super Stores within an 8 mile radius of my house.
