From the article:
...CNN’s “The Lead,” Ford President and CEO Jim Farley stated that he’s not opposed to giving workers pay increases, “But if it prevents us from investing in this transition to EVs and in future products like the ones we have now like a new F-150,” they won’t do that because they’ll go bankrupt. Of course Ford's president and CEO is on the Leftist propaganda outlet CNN.
Let Jim Farley of Ford threaten to cut bonuses for executives and see how quickly he'd be ushered out the door. Farley's going to lose talented workers since exposing just how closely their salaries are linked to the company's mess of coal-charged battery vehicles.

Ford is sooooo screwed. Last great US company to avoid bankrupsy and they get a CEO withy the tech knowledge of Al Gore.

Um no. I will do the math for you. The labor per car, on average, is 8% of the stickler price ( do your own reserach o that ). So the labor per 30K car is 8% of 30k or $2,400 labor per car. If labor goes up 20% then the labor per car goes up $480 per car for a total of $2,880 per car. So as the sticker price would have to go up $480 per car to cover that increase making the sticker show $30,480 and increase PER CAR SOLD of 1.6%.
Get it? The car costs 1.6% more not 20% more.

Then Ford deserves its day in bankruptcy court. Consumers DO NOT want EV. They are being forced to them.

This is weird. I’ve never seen a company go out and waste billions of dollars on a product that’s not selling.

Well they also have the worthless EV F-150

Just realize the significance of changing “This” to “That” EV. Past tense is coming.

“I’d appreciate it if he would stop subsidizing the EV business with truck profits and bring truck prices down.”
...and people think they’re being ‘Manly’ by buying a gasoline F150. Too bad they don’t know that $15k or so of the price is to subsidize Kaleb, who lives in the inner city (a woke, white part) and needs to drive an EV to be ‘accepted’, by his ‘community’.

It once heard that Japanese auto makers are headed up by engineers, while American automakers are headed up by salesmen and marketers, and that’s why Japanese cars are so consistently superior. Jim Farley is a marketing and customer satisfaction guy.

Jim Farley is a marketing and customer satisfaction guy. He's trying to appease the politicians in the U.S. But he has a winning product. Trucks that run on ICE. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Consumers DO NOT want EV. They are being forced to them.I think the ceiling is 20% of the market. Most of that is already occupied by Tesla.

It’s a bitch when you are a project engineer, and the guys working the assembly line makes more than you do...

Ford is making a huge mistake. Not on the pay issue but on the huge push for Electric Vehicles. It’s a stupid idea to put all their eggs in that questionable basket.
Sure, throw out a couple of electric models, but to go all-in, that will bankrupt Ford. I see a Toyota in my future.

Like other automakers build in the southern states. Right to work states. Not out of country

1. This transition to EVs
2. The F-150, the best-selling vehicle in the U.S.
OK, Farley, square that circle!

If you’re staying in town, take EVERYTHING out of the car at night. Theft from vehicles at hotels is an industry in town.
