yesthatjallen :“A new law went into effect on Wednesday, changing the way the state handles background checks for firearms and ammunition.
It’s part of the Concealed Carry Improvement Act that Gov. Kathy Hochul passed last year.” (New York)
”Customers have to pay $9 per firearm background check and $2.50 per ammunition background check.
The state says the money collected will pay for the new background check system. “ (Emphasis Theirs)
According to NewsMax reporter Jason Jones at the Mexican border, this action will result in increased smuggling of arms and ammunition across the Southren border.
This market may/will outstrip and surpass the financial rewards to the drug cartels,
once the human and drug smuggling market subsides.
Also, Jones states that the drug cartels represent effectively, a 'shadow government' in Mexico.

This legislation is nothing more than a 'work around' the Constitution
by the NYS state legislature to violate the intent of the 2nd Amendment.
It will produce an illegal list of firearms users.

A background check for ammo? Ha!
