Make no mistake. The no term limits unlimitted government uniparty loves the IRS and its thugs

We had a perfect opportunity to ease the tax process with the 2017 tax bill but blew it. It could have resulted in a flat tax type of scenario. But instead our tax code is even larger with taxes going up to historic levels in 2025. The largest tax increase ever.

Yes I’ve heard the IRS has been shrunk down to practically nothing and is attached to the Treasury Department. The building in DC is abandoned and has sand bags around it.

I understand people aren’t applying. There's this little thing called a "drug test". These jobs only pay about $40K a year, no one's gonna give up their weed for that.
I work in the tax department of a large real estate company in Dallas. We prepared over 150 partnership returns this tax season. The two gentlemen I work for have encyclopedic knowledge of the tax code. The IRS will be wasting their time and money auditing our returns.

I do.
There are no longer the number of unemployed techs that the different companies laid off.

They’re not going to the IRS. I doubt the IRS is hardly functioning at this point. Much less hiring 87,000 people. Doubtful they can get a significant amount of applications. Nobody wants to work right now.

In related news - the IRS recently announced a “pause” in accepting Employee Retention Tax Credit applications/claims. The pause is until December 31, 2023. I guess it could be extended later.
Can you imagine how infrequently your phone would ring if there was no such thing as the ERTC?
To: Georgia Girl 2
Well, it did surprise me.
