What the hell difference does it make. If you’re given authority and you don’t use, it’s the same as if you lost the election. The GOP was given the authority to govern from the Representative side of the house and they should use EVERY ounce of effort to resist the democrats drive to ruin. If that means shutting down the government then shut it the @#%! down. If they’re not willing to use the authority given by the voters then why bother voting for them to begin with. Fight like a democrat and maybe you’ll get something done. Strategize like rove and the democrats will celebrate your mediocrity.
It’s like voting for who’s going to join the washington generals so they can be humiliated by the globe trotting democrats. The allegory gains clarity every year.

Well said. Today’s Democrats are radical socialists. They are playing hardball. And they are playing for keeps.
On the other hand, Republicans sit around and debate the wording of a statement they might release. Or might not release. Mustn’t be too hasty or too harsh.
It’s easy to see which side will ultimately prevail.
All the house has to do is pass a budget and send it to the senate. Once a budget is passed, have a press conference saying we did out job. Now it’s up to the senators and eventually the president.
