Griffin is the smartest idiot and highly-educated fool I have ever seen.

The guy donated $125 million to University of Chicago economics department, and $300 million to Harvard.

Yes, sure, its his money (mostly - he’s an insider who benefits greatly from our printed, fiat monetary system) - but if you want “impact” - why give so much money to elite institutions that already have $$ tens of billions?

This guy is like a bull in a china shop. Throwing money around to feel like a mover & a shaker and to get legislation that enriches Wall Street & destroys Main St. He personally made $4.1 billion last year— the most any hedge fund manager has ever earned in the history of the Rich List. Citadel’s flagship fund, Wellington, posted a better than 38 percent gain last year, making Griffin one of the top performers in his strategy. Firmwide assets under management swelled to $53.7 billion.

The overwhelming majority of Griffin’s political donation dollars have gone to Republicans, but he has funded Democrats as well, including former Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel. Griffin contributed $325,000 to Emanuel’s 2015 mayoral campaign while giving $850,000 to Chicago Forward, a super PAC that supported Emanuel. Griffin also gave $500,000 to President Biden’s inaugural committee, more than the $100,000 he donated for Donald Trump’s swearing-in party.

Chicago hedge fund manager Ken Griffin, who served as one of President Barack Obama’s top fund-raisers four years ago, says he won’t be backing Obama again this election. Instead, he’ll be fueling an on-again, off-again love affair with the GOP and raising money to help elect Republican Mitt Romney.

“Mitt Romney understands that the private sector is the source of economic growth and job creation,” Griffin told Bloomberg on Tuesday. “His ideas can help get America’s economy moving again and start putting people back to work.”
