In an assault on the First Amendment and the free press, a Washington DC jury has convicted journalist Stephen Horn of four misdemeanor charges stemming from his reporting of the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol Hill protest-turned-riot.
According to journalist Steve Baker, the jury deliberated for about an hour on Monday before finding Horn guilty of entering and remaining in a restricted building, disorderly and disruptive conduct, violent entry, and parading, demonstrating or picketing in the Capitol.
As Headline USA has reported, Horn, by all accounts, was engaging in purely journalistic activities on Jan. 6. The FBI received a tip from someone that identified Horn as a journalist, and charging documents describe him as acting entirely peacefully.

These convictions should be overturned in higher courts. But that will take years and tens of thousands of dollars. How in the world did our nation get to this point?

How long before we hear that Julie Kelly has been arrested for writing a whole book about J6, wrongthink, and wrongspeak?
Since there is no opposition party to fight the injustice they are screwed.
The DC circuit should be dissolved.
It makes no sense that federal cases are tried in the federal reservation by whoever happens to be there. They aren’t a noble class with special insight to judge for the whole nation.
Dissolve the circuit and try crimes against the fedgov with juries assembled from all the federal circuits so as to be representative of the union.

And with her constant comments on X, along with her regular articles regarding the violations of the January 6th defendants’ rights and the evidence being withheld, I wouldn’t be surprised to hear of such an arrest. And not only are the Courts silent about such Constitutional violations of these defendants, the judges are participating in, condoning, and instrumental in those violations.

When will they be trying Jaden X? You know the guy who says he was a journalist and recorded himself saying we did this, or something similar, to his girlfriend, and is purportedly an Antifa member.

Yeah, and I understand the reason for the requirement in the Constitution.
But it doesn’t really make sense for the federal reservation, does it?
It’s really not some sort of “local” crime when somebody causes a problem at the Capitol.
So possibly the Congress could take that into consideration. The DC circuit is their creation anyway.
