Tuesday, during an appearance on Fox News Channel’s “Jesse Watters Primetime,” Sen. JD Vance (R-OH) reacted to the Clinton Global Initiative’s reemergence on the global scene and its involvement in Ukraine.
Vance said he expected we would ultimately find that some would have benefited financially from the Ukrainian war effort.
“So Senator, when you see this new news about the Clinton Global Initiative Ukraine Action Network, and we’ve got Airbnb, you know, we’ve got famous Hollywood actors now involved, and the World Bank is kind of laundering American taxpayers through the Clintons into Ukraine, it could be a noble cause, yes, but it also seems a little suspicious, considering what the Clintons had been known for their entire career,” FNC host Jesse Watter said. “Do you agree?”

Julianne Assange recently said taxpayer money from US and Europe is routed to Ukraine and back to US sympathetic legislators.
Assange has means to sniff out info like this. He did not mention defense contractors stuffing campaign coffers, but that’s a certainty.

What do you suppose was the last war where that wasn’t true? It must be in the pre-Industrial Revolution era. Maybe the Revolutionary War? Certainly lots of fortunes were made in the Civil War with the rest of industrialization of warfare. And VAST fortunes were made in WW I and WW II.
Wars exist to 1) let megalomaniacs play chess at a global scale and 2) to make people rich.

Knowing that some companies “profit” from materiel needed for war - which is always true with every war - pretends that fact means those “profits” are the reason for the war. It’s a populist but often ignorant assumption.
For instance I am sure the American military suppliers “profited” from Reagan’s military buildup, but I reject the idea (always sold by the left at times) that those “profits” were Reagan’s motives.
In the last few decades more and more self-professed “conservatives” have acquired, as their own, populist themes spewed by the Leftist since the cold war.

I’m honestly surprised that hasn’t already been done. And for the record, I don’t like any of the sides involved, Putin/Russians included. And there are a lot more than two sides involved.
