Fox News national refused to air a new ad from a political action committee that supports Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis that showed him in his military uniform and holding a rifle, forcing the swapping out of two images for a sanitized version, according to the PAC, Never Back Down.
Never Back Down produced a 30-second ad titled "Warzone," which included an image of DeSantis holding a rifle in uniform, the photo taken in Iraq. DeSantis was a lieutenant in the Navy and served alongside SEAL Team 1 in Iraq in 2007.
To meet Fox's requirements, the image was replaced with a bust shot of DeSantis in uniform minus the weapon.
There was also footage 3 seconds into the ad of cartel members with guns and accompanying audio of gunfire that had to be replaced with firearm-free footage.

The mysteries of the Universe!
Seriously.
I suspect woke Fox personnel....
That's got to be the primary reason. Any portrayal of the invasion other than "migration" and "asylum seeking" is out of the question. This invasion pace is the traitors' moment of victory.
Read the article. The ad was by a PA, not the campaign.
Fox thinks folks in the military should not have any of those dangerous guns....
Lol.
I didn’t know Michael Dukakis’ campaign chief was still around.
No matter who you support, Ron DeSantis honorably served our country. Those who worked with him say only good things about him.
No one can take that away from him.
I’m not thrilled that Fox is trying.
The RNC obviously agrees with me, since the last time they even bothered to try to create a good, hard-hitting ad was.... when? So they stick to mushy, vapid "non-controversial" issues like "Hyerr taxxes iz badd!"
Republicans have to purchase ad time (and get refused when Democrats are scared that the ad might work), while giving every Democrat FREE 24/7 advertising via the overwhelming partisan bias of their "news" reporting.
My old tagline: "Want fair elections again? Off the media!"
** And that was even before liberal liars who have been anointed as as "fact checkers" could be used to falsely invalidate Republican points.
I don’t care who the candidate is, military service is honorable duty and it is unpatriotic to refuse pictures from military service.
Next: Milley and Austin ban rifles from the army, as those “promote violence”.
Dukakis was a liberal—but I knew him and he was a genuinely pleasant person who meant harm to no-one.
The contrast with today’s control freak hateful Democrats is stunning.
Add wasn’t directly from the DeSantis campaign but it does illustrate the dangers of being beholden to the establishment. They expect values to be abandoned in order to appease their sensibilities.
DeSantis Says it's Important for a U.S. President to Have Military Experience (VIDEO)
Exactly what requirement did Fox have? What rule does Fox have that the advertisement contradicted?
Video of him driving a tank would be more appropriate.

Manchin? Okay.
DeSantis? Not okay.

Yes, this is stupid. Don’t support DeSantis but this rejection over him holding a gun or showing gunfire in a war zone??
And this is a supposed “News” channel doing this..
Anyone that believes FOX “News” is about news is as gullible as anyone thinks MSNBC or CNN are delivering news.
