The Philippines has condemned the Chinese coast guard for installing what it called a "floating barrier" in a disputed area of the South China Sea, saying that it prevented Filipino boats from entering and fishing in the area.

In a statement on X, formerly known as Twitter, Philippine coast guard spokesperson Jay Tarriela said on Sunday the floating barrier was discovered by Philippine vessels during a routine maritime patrol on Friday and measured around 300 metres.

"The Philippine coast guard and Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources strongly condemn the China coast guard's installation of a floating barrier in the Southeast portion of Bajo de Masinloc, which prevents Filipino fishing boats from entering the shoal and depriving them of their fishing and livelihood activities," the statement read.

My money is on the armada.

This is a dispute about: some fish. Homo Sapien, in effect, means War Maker. Periodically, the total Earth population of war makers drops down to about 10,000. Call it the Great Reset.

“ Texas sets the standard for China.”

So you say Texas is Mexico’s territory.

Of course you take Chicom nonsensical side.

Texas asserts its right to defend its border and so does China.

If Texas were claiming the entire Gulf of Mexico down to Yucatan and the east coast of Cuba....

Against international law.

It’s about -

Claiming international waters, including the main East Asian shipping lanes, as sovereign waters.
It’s about claiming all natural resources in the region, including oil and gas as well as fish, as Chinese property, in spite of international law and treaties.
It’s about building military bases on islands claimed by other countries, also as per international law and treaties.

That’s silly. They are coming across the land border. And if Texas were legally able to unilaterally stop this, which is arguable, Texas does not have a right to interfere even within the 12 mile limit, as that is controlled by the US, not Texas.

Your analogy is flawed. China is Mexico in the analogy.

Chicoms are trying to keep Philippines from accessing their own territory.

You shill for Chicoms and assert it is Chicom territory.

Using Mexico as an analogue to China-
It would be as if Mexico claimed the entire Gulf of Mexico along the US coastline beyond the 12-mile limit, from Brownsville TX to Key West FL.

Any domestic or international shipping would require Mexican permission to enter the Houston ship channel, the ports of New Orleans, Mobile, Tampa, etc. And all offshore oil/gas in the Gulf would belong to Mexico.
