I respect all who serve the military, honorably. My father & grandfather both served in the military honorably.

I love our military, and I loathe the way politicians have used the military as their personal abusive whipping boy especially the Democrats. They are in the process of dismantling her.

The only thing that video you supplied showed an opinion that Donald John Trump vocalized that most of John McCain's support came from him being shot down & held captive by the VietCong for most of the war. He went to the Naval Academy at the expense of the American taxpayer where he graduated near the bottom of his class because he was basically a playboy living off of the good graces his grandfather & father provided to him. He was known to be a hotdogger in the cockpit but lacked the skills of a true ace. I knew many people in the military, none of which who actually had good things to say about him. But all respected him for his service. Donald Trump speaks his mind. You may not like his opinion, but he has a right to his opinion

My complaints against McCain were his actions as a Congressman & Senator. I thought he was a pretty poor role model on so many levels, but beyond that I think he made many incorrect decisions in his positions in Congress.

Since I didn't hold McCain in high esteem anyway, I ignored what Trump said about him. For his opinion about John McCain was of zero value to me. Thus it was a non-factor.

I believe John McCain showed himself to be a rather petty vindictive man himself. For he based an opinion of DJT that had serious implications for the U.S. based upon nothing but his haltered for DJT. Was John McCain every asked if he ever asked the Lord for forgiveness?

I was still pretty naive, even when Trump ran, about the Republican Party. I had been told enough times though that they really despised the base. I actually laughed when Donald John Trump announced, because I thought he was a joke & insincere about his running. That he was hyping himself with some gimmick purpose to further himself in the public arena. But the more I listened to him the more I was impressed because he was the first to stand up and say what he thought. I also began to see that DJT was sincere in his love for this nation. That honesty & sincerity is what all of us patriots were looking for. It was like a breathe of fresh air in what is the most nastiest of environments, the political environment.

I wasn't looking for a saint, I was looking for a leader. An honest leader at that who wasn't afraid to speak his mind. Because it was becoming quite evident that the Republican Party lacked a leader and I saw the warning lights flashing that this nation was heading for failure at breakneck speed.

Far from perfect was Trump, but he was the best being offered.

I have never regretted standing with him, because I see Trump as being the work of the Lord.

Anyway, I have rambled on rather aimlessly, so let me wrap it up by stating I make no judgements about anyone, even those I think I know. I am like DJT in that I will not hold back my opinion of someone either. I will be brutally honest with my thoughts about someone I communicate with. Perhaps its the impersonal indirect form of interaction available via the internet.

I hope everyone finds their way to the Lord, for he is the only true leader, and thus is the only true way.

I do not think highly of myself, for I am nothing but a humble servant of the Lord who really is undeserving in so many ways for his forgiveness, but I pray that he will find forgiveness for my sins. If he does perhaps I will meet you on the flip side of life. If not, thank you for the stimulating conversation, and may peace be with you. 🙂 👍

You are wrong about the Bushes, and DJT as well. 🙂 (Couldn't resist)

I will never forget this speech by one of the greatest Presidents this nation had in history

I hope you will enjoy seeing it again, or perhaps for the first time. I see no reason why the Lord should bless America once again, and hope he blesses Donald John Trump again, and that Donald John Trump will fall on his knees to ask the Lord for forgiveness & thank him for all the blessing the Lord bestowed upon him, because I love the sinner & will so even more sans his sins.

Trump was indeed the better thing offered between he and Hillary in 2016 and between he and Biden in 2020. It was a binary choice. 2016 and 2020 were the first two times in polling history that the American people choose between two candidates each of whom was underwater on the favorable-unfavorable question. It looks like 2024 will be the third time.

I have no grandfather in the military as they were immigrants beyond military age by the time of WWII. I do have a father in the military. I myself was in the military. And my son was in the military.

Everybody at the Naval Academy is there at taxpayer expense. Ditto the other service academies. Ditto everybody on active duty. Ditto those in our police and fire departments. And, I could go on. Why does this bother you? You didn’t serve in the military and you also have problems with paying those who serve. Something’s wrong with your thinking.

And for naval aviators, they tend to be rascals. Here, I will quote from a study,

“Findings showed that the prototypical naval aviation candidate appeared to have high goals and engaged in constructive activity to achieve those goals. Under ordinary circumstances, typical candidates were likely to appear more calm and uninhibited than the average individual and more willing to tolerate personal risk.”

The last is key: willing to tolerate personal risk.

Texas Congressman Sam Johnson, a former Air Force pilot, was in the Hanoi Hilton along with Senator McCain. I met Congressman Johnson right after the Republican Revolution of 1994, along with other newly-elected Congressmen that I and my group supported. he reached out to shake my hand with his hand that was deformed by the communists. It was like he was proud of that deformed hand.

Of course, Congressman Johnson defended Senator McCain when Donald Trump questioned McCain’s heroism. Of course, Congressman Johnson defended McCain.

Trump made his point about McCain, revealing something about himself. Upon McCain’s death, Trump kind of apologized by sending Air Force Two to Arizona to transport McCain’s remains to Washington, D.C. Still, Trump stayed far away, and sent Vice President Pence and General Kelly to represent the country instead. It was awkward. Trump has a way of alienating people. In a democracy, you alienate too many people, and you lose elections.
