As for Vietnam, we won the Cold War, but we didn’t win every part of it. I am inclined to agree with you that getting sucked in a shooting war involves some kind of mistake at some level of decision-making. But, let’s be real, some mistakes will be made.

Your mistake is believing that it was a mistake. It was intentional. It's the perfect method to swindle the taxpayers of the money they send to government, via the military-industrial complex that Ike warned us about.

We, like Russia, have strategic depth. In our case, the great oceans of the world. It is an interesting question as to whether we might collapse following defeat in a border war. It depends on whether we remain or maybe I should say return to a free enterprise system. With a vibrant free enterprise system, we have a robust surplus which enables us to absorb the cost of border wars.

No, technology has compromised those once invaluable strategic strengths considerably. They still exist to a degree but they are not the hurdle they once were. Here again you miss the mark, because you only see the enemy as coming from a foreign land. All it takes is a highly placed person from within to allow the foreign invaders carte blanche entry into our nation. Like oh, the non-stop incursion along our southern border primarily, without even a peep of retribution. In fact we are paying the NGOs money to facilitate the invasion.

This vibrant free enterprise system you desire to return to was the catalyst used to 1 take valuable important industries away from the most vibrant nation the world has even known, turning it into a consumer nation that produces nothing. The enticing seduction was the lure of more goods at cheaper prices. Oh, and cleaner air & water too. It was the beginning of the destruction of this nation, but you missed that.

For centuries, this was the “secret” of the British Empire (they didn’t win all their border wars either). (Then, we replaced them as the world’s foremost global power.)

What weakened the British Empire?

It was them trying to be involved in the business of everyone else. You know, like we have been doing since the end of WWII. I believe it was George Washington that warned us of falling into that trap.

But here we are again, involved in a war which has nothing to do with our National Security at all.

But you believe that we must put Russia in their place, and it wasn't a border war at all which means that you have zero knowledge about it at all, yet you support it because you are a patriot & I am nothing but an asshole as far as you are concerned.

Fair enough, I'll readily admit I am an asshole, because sometimes it takes an asshole to get the job done, and my job is trying to awaken you idiots that support this evil conflict by propping up Ukraine with lies, propaganda, and the money of hardworking Americans who are hurting themselves, but are being ignored by our government whose responsibility it is to help them before helping others.

Well, let try again to educate you. It was been an ongoing act of terrorism against Russian speaking Ukrainians who had lived there for generations. This conflict was totally unnecessary, and it was started by Obama with the coup d'état of Viktor Yanukovych.

I'm sorry that you miss so many things, or should I say get them wrong, very wrong.

You also had better check your crown of glory, because you are supporting evil when you support the continuation of this conflict. You may think you are on the right side of the Lord with this conflict, but you are not.

I’ll try to keep in mind just how intelligent you are, Bob.
