Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) announced Senate Republicans will vote against advancing the chamber’s bipartisan stopgap spending bill as members see an emerging bill coming from the House as the main way to avoid a government shutdown.
McConnell told reporters that the House bill, which is a 45-day continuing resolution that includes disaster aid funding but no money for Ukraine, is the preferred option of his members, and that they will overwhelmingly vote against cloture in order to focus on that option.

I certainly do not relish loss of any lives, including Russian ones. But Putin has gad ampletime to withdraw and cease hostilities and has chosen not to. F*ck him and the poor slob avg Russian civilians due to due soon because if him.
Zelensky isn’t going anywhere. Aid will be supplied, perhaps more covertly.

They would be detonated in Ukraine and blamed on Russia. That’s the only scenario where the US uses nukes first.
That is an insane idea. End the funding and do it NOW!
The Ukraine funding will be discussed and voted on in a separate bill.

He could have done that on 22/2/21, when he hadn’t gotten diddly from Brandon other than the offer of an evac. I know it leaves a bitter taste in your mouth to admit that Brandon backing Ukraine is a good thing. But no worries. His “backing” is as fake as Brandon himself.
So you can separate the two. Ukraine is defending itself against a criminal attack by a dictator. Z has led them faithfully and courageously. Brandon was embarrassed into pretending to back Ukraine, but his “backing” is only expensive, not actually helpful, and the war drags on.
Is Ukraine perfect? Of course not. But electing Z was an improvement over Poroshenko in many ways.
