We have had a lock on low observable and advanced tech tactical air for a very long time while the Russians have been not making fighters .
These aircraft are qualitatively inferior to our F22 and F35 but they represent a quantum leap in Russian capabilities.
. The US has had such a technological edge over any rival that we have had walkovers in all the conflicts we have fought in. Our potential adversaries have been watching and they are closing the tech gap while our military seems to be stagnating and struggling with diversity mandates.
