Sharon Hill police are investigating a carjacking outside the 7-Eleven at 1307 Chester Pike, with a gunshot victim.
The call went out shortly before 2 p.m. Sunday for three shots fired outside the store.
While en route, police learned someone was struck by the gunfire and there was a carjacking.
The car that was taken, a 2010 silver Chevy Malibu, was found unoccupied a short time later at Poplar Street and Eggleston Circle in the borough.
It was not yet clear who was hit by gunfire, though the police radio traffic indicated the owner of the vehicle shot at the carjacker.
One suspect was identified as a Black male, 5-8 to 5-10, with shoulder-length dreds.
Police did ask Delaware County communications to have area hospitals be on alert for a gunshot victim.
The Daily Times is awaiting further details from the borough police department.
Such a great American, driving an import.
Sorry wrong article
Stating it was in Sharon Hill is stating the criminal is a black male…
Say what.?
"Say what.?"
I had thought that no self-respecting carjacker would ever want my 25-year old station wagon, but tough times must be upon us.
(It's a stick shift, so 97% of carjackers wouldn't be able to drive it, at least.)
Where is Sharon Hill???
Where is Chester Pike???
Where is Poplar Street???
Where is Eggleston Circle???
Where is Delaware county???
It would be nice for a state location in an excerpt....
LOL...Location wasn’t even in the article...
That is some professional editing at the Daily Times, isn’t it???

Outside Filthydelphia
PA. Near where I grew up...sad but not surprising.
“Dreds”
Yes, I know what the reference means but it’s a lazy journalist who would use this type of slang in his reporting.
The title says PA at the begining. PA stands for Pennsylvania.
There is no excerpt. It is the entire article.
Dang!!!!!!!!!!!! I totally missed that...LOL...
Thanks....
I would be happier if Funeral homes were notified to look for the guy with the dreds.
