Interim Speaker Patrick McHenry aggressively slams the gavel as he and 200+ other Republicans fume over Kevin McCarthy’s ousting.
Where was this anger as millions of migrants poured over the southern border?
Where was this anger as US debt rises over $33T?
Where was this anger when the FBI rounded up Trump supporters and threw them in prison?
Where is this anger as the “justice” system tries to take out Biden’s top opponent in 2024?
They sit back and do nothing as our country burns but fume when their buddy loses his Speaker role.
This event leads to the following question ....
The move that ousted the Speaker of course, left the Democrat-led Senate’s President Pro Tempore in the catbird seat as for the line to presidential succession, now that the vacant Speaker’s position was out of the line of presidential succession.
Sen. Patty Murray of Washington holds that seat. That could clear the path for Democrats to get Joe Biden and Kamala Harris out of the way and put in a different Democrat in the presidential chair. It was said that Chuck Schumer was already scheming.
If if they couldn’t pull off that maneuver, it was obvious that Democrats would benefit from the chaos of the GOP not having a leader.
McCarthy was chosen the leader after a difficult series of votes. Who the new leader will be is awfully uncertain if they couldn’t keep even McCarthy, who has or at least had President Trump’s support. Who does Gaetz think will be acceptable, given that every Democrat who aided him in kicking out McCarthy will vote against that person? Does Gaetz have a plan?
Complete and total corruption.
Funny. That’s exactly how I felt.
They seem to live in their little bubble there in DC, insulated from the horrors outside their door.
Young Mr. Gaetz just jolted them back to reality.
It takes more than anger to get anything done in DC.
