Hispanic residents of Chicago’s Pilsen neighborhood gathered at a town hall meeting Tuesday to protest the opening of a new shelter for illegal immigrants.
During the October 3 meeting, residents blasted city officials for raising property taxes while offering free housing, healthcare, and meals to illegals and even fast-tracking work permits for border crossers, as Hispanics who have been in America for years have had to struggle on their own, the Chicago Tribune reported.
The meeting was called after city officials quietly opened a new shelter in an empty warehouse near Cermak Road and Halsted Street. The shelter was opened without notice and without any debate or local input.

If you want something to change, quit voting Democrats into office.
It’s pretty bad when the Hispanics don’t want those freeloading Mexicans around them.
They are probably the least likely to want it, along with African Americans.

Cesar Chavez, the founder of the American Farmworkers Union in the 1960s, who was very leftist in his political outlook, was vehemently against illegal immigration, because he knew it would suppress wages of farm-workers.
I think maybe you haven't been paying attention. Hispanic American citizens who got here by way of following the immigration laws (either themselves personally, or their ancestors) have historically been huge OPPONENTS of illegal immigration. Coddling of illegal aliens is a huge slap in the face to legal immigrants and the descendants thereof.
Ha, ha. Suckered again. How long will people keep swallowing the lie that Democrats care? They don’t give a rip what you want. You’ll take whatever they determine to give you or not give you. They “love” you only for about 6 weeks before any election. After that, they own you.
Every American is either an immigrant or a descendant of immigrants. If you tell me “But ... my ancestors were on the Mayflower” ... you simply prove my point.

These hispanic residents keep voting in one Rat after another.
Sucks for them.
In the early days of Fidel Cackstro’s revolution - ‘60 to ‘62 - Cubans sent some 14,000 of their kids to the USA under the “Pedro Pan” program. The kids, many of them disbursed throughout the country in small numbers, grew up to become great Americans.
Washington wants none of this. They want tribalism - and no assimilation.
There are many Hispanic citizens and legal residents that do not like illegals as much or more than other Americans.
Many Hispanics have been here as long as other folks.
Soon it will be hand-to-hand combat over who gets to be paid under the table to clean the toilets and do dishes for rich white liberals.
Because the local politicians know sneaky is better than public input beforehand.
The only people who want them around are white liberals. Just not around their neighborhood.
Hispanics work damn hard for their money and know a screw job when they see it.

If Chicago just put the illegals in the South Side, they could kill (literally) two birds with one stone….
