According to Wikipedia, Bukele is center-right. He brought order to his country by throwing thousands and thousands of gang members into prison. That action has upset liberals who think gang members deserve hugs instead.
So Bukele can’t be all bad.

He’s the one who has arrested the gangs and put them in a huge prison. The left both here and in C.A. hates him. Don’t know about his politics, but El Salvador has become a reasonably safe place.
