Good for her! God does work in mysterious ways!
We will see if she continues with her new faith. She will definitely be tested and attacked by those people who hate Christians.
God, give her strength!
The original article does state that she has darkened out her tats. Sounds like renouncing to me. Alice Cooper uses his platform to preach the word. We shall see.
Bless your heart...
Some “Christians” here seem to have not read the parable of the Prodigal Son. Or missed the point of the story completely.
She’s actively blacking out tattoos that she regrets (well technically she’s going to a different tattoo artist who specializes in blacking out tattoos). But it’s a long process… Not sure how it’s going to turn out. Her one leg is almost completely black. While it looks odd, she wanted to cover up tattoos which she had done back when she was addicted to drugs and alcohol.
“There is a difference between humbly confessing your faith before God, and drawing attention on social media. Let’s see if she renounces her tattoo lifestyle.”
She’s having her tattoos removed.
The REAL reason for baptism is to profess to the world your decision to accept Christ. It’s specific purpose IS to “draw attention”. Social media is a vehicle to reach thousands, or millions, with your testimony.
“She is an awful human being!”
Ever hear of Saul/Paul?
Ever hear of redemption?
She has been going to a tattoo artist who specializes in blacking out tattoos. From her Instagram post: “…it’s extremely refreshing for me to see all the garbage, drunken tattoos had scribbled all over my leg that I got before I became sober be covered by sleekness and simplicity”.
It’s a bit odd looking, to be sure. Her left leg is almost completely black. But, Lord knows I have not taken care of my own bodily temple as well as I should/could have and some of that is permanent. She is now on the right road and it’s her soul that matters, anyway. Prayers for her and I am absolutely rejoicing for her. (It’s going to be tough…satan ain’t going to let her go easily!)
“She is actually having them blackened out.”
Right. They’re going away. The all-black look will be odd, but maybe that’s an even stronger testimony of repentance in her own unique way.
I never understood tattoos or offbeat piercings. I won’t even go to a checkout lane if the clerk is sporting metal on his/her face. Or tattoos.
This post makes me sad in so many ways.
You never know what your presence might mean to them, tho. So many are just confused and searching…a kind word and Christ-like attitude will perhaps get them to wonder where you get your assurance and grace. They’re already used to judgemental looks and snide comments so you staying away won’t mean anything to them except self-affirming confusion. (I’m not saying YOU are giving them judgemental looks or comments! But you know they get them)
I hope this is a true conversion. I hope the pastor that baptized her got a clear testimony from her of how she came to know the Lord. One thing that concerns me is when I read her post on Instagram (I think) she never mentions Jesus, just that she wanted to make changes in her life. My final hope is that she finds a good Bible believing church.
I hope this is a true conversion and not one like Larry Flint did in hopes of getting into religious broadcasting.
He renounced his “conversion” not long after he found the broadcasters did not trust his “conversion” and being shot. His magazine HUSTLER then became even more vile with very anti-Christian cartoons.
Even the Apostles did not trust Saul(Paul) at first after his conversion.
Tatoo lifestyle? Oh boy, you gotta explain that one.
Tatoo lifestyle... that’s pretty (and petty) judgey.
WOW!! Glad you weren’t around to speak with Mary Magdalene.
