“He was found guilty of premeditated attempted murder and aiding his accomplice, Colleen Larson, and was sentenced to 18 years in prison. A few days later, Larson pleaded guilty to first-degree premeditated attempted murder. She was sentenced to 16-and-a-half years.”
He conspired to execute the crime with the shooter and got more time than the actual shooter.
What is wrong with this?
I think first-degree premeditated attempted murder should be treated just like murder. For both of them.

I didnt read the article all the way, but sentencing takes into account past criminality and such. It could be that. Also, if he initiated the conspiracy to attempt murder he could get more time for that too.
Wouldn’t you write attempted premeditated murder rather than premeditated attempted murder?
That’s what’s bothering me.
I have no problem giving the older, more motivated, more dominant conspirator 18 extra months. The woman caved first, that’s usually worth time off.
