Today Russian President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin celebrates his 71st birthday. The head of the Russian state was born on October 7, 1952 in Leningrad.
This birthday coincided with another, but already round date - this is the twentieth birthday, which Vladimir Putin celebrates while holding the post of President of Russia.
Despite the fact that the holiday fell on a weekend this year, the Russian President will spend it in working mode. It is expected that Vladimir Putin, together with the presidents of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, will participate in a ceremony marking the start of Russian gas supplies to Uzbekistan through Kazakhstan.
As for the birthday celebration itself, it will reportedly be held with close people.

Let's not forget how many times since the war in Ukraine began how many times that Zeepers here and the UK Daily Mail claimed Putin was either dead or had stomach, thyroid, blood or some other kind of cancer. But, miraculously, Putin is alive and turned 71 today.

Doesn’t this writer know the difference between a birthday and an anniversary?

“Vladimir Putin celebrates his twentieth birthday as president”
Russia is a big country, so it’s not surprising that Putin looks a lot older than 20 years.

I think it’s because it’s Putin’s 20th birthday celebration as President of Russia.

So, you’re convinced the Russians are using a body double for Putin?

Vladimir Putin is a Czar in all but name.
It would not surprise me if whoever his eventual successor is took up the title

Interesting, I wonder how many other current leaders have ruled a country for 20 years or more.
