You have to wonder about conservatives and patriots who openly root for Putin. I put them in the same category with the leftist cranks.
FRiend, your contributions to the discussion are far more than laudable... thank you for your untiring efforts!
“You have to wonder about conservatives and patriots who openly root for Putin. I put them in the same category with the leftist cranks.”
That’s most of the site, on specific issues, like protecting children. I’m not sure that’s a Leftist position, but then again, who knows these days.
On other issues, like Ukraine, not me, and not many others root for Putin, as most of the people here who don’t support Biden’s position (take down Russia even if it means World War 3) simply want the US to be neutral.
“but the US doesn’t meet with Hamas ... see the difference? that’s why we call Russia a “terrorist supporter”
No different than sending the Palestinians BILLIONS, rather than sending the money to Israel, so that they can CAREFULLY watch how it’s spent.
a FORMER president ... only British MPs ... but no actual Western head-of-state meeting with Hamas, right?
so you proved my point!
look at the Russian picture ... that’s Foreign Min ister Lavrov and Dictator Putin meeting face-to-face with the Hamas thugs
and it was in Moscow, meaning Russia sent Hamas an OFFICIAL STATE INVITATION
the West doesn’t do that
admit it, Putin is a terrorist-coddler! continuing what he did in East Germany in the 80s with the Bader-Meinhoff gang and others!!
Your point is as limp as your understanding of geopolitics.
The "West" has dealt diplomatically with almost every national leader it could, recalling FDR seated with "evil" Stalin. When the "West" has not dealt diplomatically with a national leader, it generally has sought to kill him, as was the case with Saddam Hussein, an example among more than him alone. One recalls Trump even meeting Kim.
President George W. Bush and Russian President Vladimir Putin share a light moment as they sit with Laura Bush and other heads of state during a military parade marking the end of World War II in Moscow's Red Square, Monday, May 9, 2005.What I admit is that when the shooting stops, there will be either need for diplomacy and the old "shaking of hands" and such, or a complete surrender.Obama and Putin discuss Syria at G20 summit in Antalya
Biden And Putin Say Their Summit Was Constructive As The World Waits For Results
Hamas is only a small zit on the face of Islam, as Hezbollah and Fatah in this current moment demonstrate. There will be either defeat -- like the old Nabka, so long a whine of the Arabs -- or diplomacy, of a truce-like manner, since that is the best Islam allows. Defeating Islam will be a much longer world phenomenon, though I have cause to think this will come in time.
Oh! And what's this? Canada's big cheese chats with Russia's big cheese? Say it isn't so!Self-congratulate, as much as you want. It seems something quite consistent with your comments on Free Republic.
When the shooting stops, unless there is total surrender, there will be the need for someone to sit down with someone and make some sort of deal. It's called diplomacy -- even there, from where you clap for your own jokes.
Hey there, Mr. Genius. glad you've been able to figure this all out -- without absolutely no proof of your theory! It all came from your little mind and keyboard.
Even if true, which I doubt 'cause why do it when you're already winning like Putin, did you and your brilliant mind ever stop to think that is just another means of war?
Do you expect us to believe that our government does not run around the world launching the same "invasions" that you describe?
You know, like the Arab Spring and Maidan Revolutions and others all around the planet -- including right here in our own country against us. Meddling in (invasions) into sovereign countries' affairs. You know (again), like the Russians who were accused of and castigated for interfering in our elections? Ever hear of the term "projection?"
I have because I've seen it up close and personal right here in the good 'ole USA.
Do as I say -- not as i do!
If you can post a rational adult response with a reasoned argument why I am wrong, this website might take you seriously. Until then everyone on this website is going to laugh at your infantile behavior instead.

I’ve heard that the Taliban wants to enter the fray.
Way to go, Joe, way to go.
Thoughtful posting instead of emotive ranting would be a nice change. You should try it.
Difference is the Russian have a clear goal in mind, the US is busy pushing the Alt Lefts high school level iq “social justice” agenda.
The Russian understand how to use power, the Biden Regime does not. The Biden gang does not lead, it reacts. Putin is trying to overwhelm the US Administration’s crisis managements capabilities
I don’t know if it will work, but it is the best play Putin has in his hand right now. He cannot defeat the West militarily so he will go for the Vietnam solution. Defeat the West’s political will to fight.
The "West" going by your contemptuous phrasing, you don't like The "West", correct? so you live in Russia, right? What a little mind you evidence. Read a bit from a "contemptuous" Wiki article:
"According to James Kurth, an American conservative professor emeritus at Swarthmore College, the Western world, also known as the West, primarily refers to various nations and states in the regions of Australasia, Europe, and the Americas."So here's the deal, fatuous fellow. I am of the West, born in the American West, lived in the United States, served in the US Army after being drafted by LBJ, have worked much in the US as throughout the world, lived as a legal expat and proud American in Germany for decades before retiring with my American wife to these United States -- where YOU are not -- and am very proud of Western civilization and centuries of Western culture, philosophy and languages. Period. How about some more "contemptuous" thoughts about "the West?"

Your limp "so you live in Russia, right?" stratagem echoes other limp comments by other limp Freepers who use such in place of any cogent and reasoned and detailed debate.
You are correct, in one way. I have learned some contempt of late. For you.

Well there, Mr. Genius, if you could learn to post on FR without double posting, we would not call you an idiot.
Ha, ha, ha, ha.
They’d have to get through Jordan, which won’t happen. But don’t forget Trump is the one who actually set the date for withdrawal from Afghanistan. Sure it could have been handled better, but it was Trump’s plan and schedule to abruptly withdraw.
Trump also told them in no uncertain terms if they violated the agreement he would go after them.
Trump can be your best friend, or your worst enemy. It was their choice.
