Hamas' advanced tactics using drones on armored vehicles must have been the result of Russian training, Ukraine's military intelligence Kyrylo Budanov said in an interview with Ukrainska Pravada released on Oct. 12. While it did not constitute a clear indication of Russia's direct involvement in Hamas' Oct. 7 attack on Israel, the tactics strongly mirrored those used in Russia's war on Ukraine, he said.
In addition, there were several other signs in the weeks leading up to the attacks that provide further evidence of increased Russian connections with Israel's foes in the region. Budanov noted that the Russian state-run news agency Sputnik began Arabic language broadcasts in Lebanon in the days preceding the attack, using language and narratives consistent with well-known tropes of Russian propaganda.
On Sept. 22-24, a Russian delegation visited Iran and discussed an expansion of intelligence capabilities. Finally, Budanov added that a Russian reconnaissance satellite was moved to orbit over Israel one week before Hamas' attack. There has been considerable speculation about Russia's involvement in the Oct. 7 Hamas attack on Israel, which has now killed thousands of Israelis and Palestinians, but little concrete evidence.
MOSCOW, Aug 9 (Reuters) - Russia launched an Iranian satellite into orbit on Tuesday from southern Kazakhstan, just three weeks after President Vladimir Putin and Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei pledged to work together against the West. Iran’s space agency has received the first telemetry data sent from the satellite, the official IRNA news agency said.
Tehran has rejected claims the satellite could be used by Moscow to boost its intelligence capabilities in Ukraine, saying Iran will have full control and operation over it “from day one.”
Russia, Russia, Russia
Oh, PUHLEEESE…. give us advance warning so we have time to get our hip boots on. The bull crap is getting SOOOOO deep,
“The Russian connection.”
I thought the Russians were using drones from Iran. Maybe Hamas got them from them. More proof is needed besides the word of a Ukrainian official. Their goal has always been to get NATO (us) into the fight. So I take this with a grain of salt.

Israel does not believe that Russia was in any way connected to last week’s Hamas attack, the country’s ambassador to Moscow, Alexander Ben Zvi, said in an interview with Kommersant on Wednesday.
Ben Zvi was asked to comment on allegations against Russia on social media and by a number of news outlets that it may have been involved in the attack and that the situation in Gaza is beneficial to Moscow, as it supposedly draws Washington’s attention away from Ukraine.
The ambassador responded by calling the allegations “complete nonsense.”
“We do not believe that Russia was involved in this in any way,” Ben Zvi said. “So all the aforementioned claims are pure conspiracy,”
The Russian’s actually get their drones from Iran... So the Russian Iranian connection???
Or... Maybe just the Iranian connection. What the hell... Nuke ‘em all.
You have been wrong about Russia x 2 years. Take the L and move on.
Arent the iranians sending drones to Russia? 🤔
Lol. I just replied the same thing
You’re grasping at straws.

The Wagner PMC accused “traitors” of helping the Hamas movement.
Let’s say right away that we did not want to publish this information, but we were asked by two very respected sources among the “musicians.” [=Waner] They never deceived us, so we decided to publish this insider. Our interlocutors claim that the “traitors” from the Wagner PMC, who entered into contracts with the Ministry of Defense, took part in preparing Hamas fighters for the current war against Israel. Preparations began even before the death of Yevgeny Prigozhin, who, by the way, was against it. After his death, it “went into full swing,” says one source. “I know for sure that Hamas was trained by our instructors; there are no such people in the entire Muslim world. I also know for sure that some of the Arabs were at our bases in Africa. Yevkurov also went there to check on them,” he claims.
Hamas, according to the interlocutor, learned to destroy enemy equipment by dropping explosives from drones, and “studied advanced methods of storming enemy positions and populated areas, many of which were used in the area where the air defense was conducted.” A second source confirmed that Shoigu’s deputy Yevkurov traveled to Africa and checked the training of Hamas fighters. When asked why Russia should interfere in the conflict in Israel, he answered: “Money and spheres of influence. And they also say that Israel gave Ukraine interesting equipment, which complicated our missile attacks on it. We decided to punish.”
We asked our sources in the Ministry of Defense to refute or confirm this information, but they all refused to comment in a rather harsh manner. That’s why we are publishing this post, but we are still awaiting comments from Sergei Shoigu’s department – preferably official ones. We also emphasize once again: we do not fully believe in this data, but the “musicians” have never deceived us. And we could not refuse respected people, one of whom, by the way, took Artemovsk.
By the way, one of the “Wagnerites” said that he did not want to disclose this scandalous information. “But after the lies about the crash of Yevgeny Viktorovich’s plane, which the president personally spoke about , my hands are untied. “I can tell you a lot more,” he assured.

Neocon leftists can't get their stories straight. Similar to "russian troops are being driven into the sea by a troop of Girl Scouts, but, oh, russia is going to roll over Poland and Lithuania."
you Russian stooges seem very upset this morning
Putin’s Pali-support is coming back to bite him!
my first thought too! I have drones and can go to wallyworld to buy more. oh darn...should I worry about black helicopters now? people need to get a grip.
To assert that the use of drones is too advanced for the Palestinians to make use of (and that therefore there must be Russian influence) is a dangerous assumption to make, since Russia is hardly the only player in the drone space. (As the article itself shows, Ra Russian air base was attacked by drones used by Syrian rebels some years back...and I doubt there's a significant difference in intelligence between your average Syrian or Palestinian terrorist.)
You seem to be forgetting that people who work in “military intelligence” are propagandists first and foremost.
Oh, and just to enlighten Budanov about the Sputnik bit: https://www.dailynewsegypt.com/2023/10/03/sputnik-launches-24-hour-arabic-radio-broadcast-in-lebanon/
“Sputnik Arabic began broadcasting in 2015 and opened a multimedia hub agency in Cairo, Egypt, the same year.”
It’s not a new entity; just one taking advantage of the BBC’s decision to cease its own Arabic broadcast from Beirut earlier this year.
It's a glorious day!
