On Thursday, absentee Florida Governor and losing 2024 presidential candidate Ron DeSantis (R-FL)Â held a campaign event in Tampa, Florida, and only managed to attract about 50 supporters.
Can't believe I made it in to the Ron DeSantis rally today!
Been camped out front since last night. I hope he can sign my poster. 🇺🇸 pic.twitter.com/21tZkgKzaQ — Kev Posobiec (@KevinPosobiec) October 5, 2023
Compare that to leading 2024 presidential candidate and 45th President Donald Trump’s rally turnout of over 75,000 supporters in Pickens, South Carolina in July.

Trump overflowed the town of Pickens, South Carolina with a crowd over 20 times larger than the town’s population.
Pickens, South Carolina has a population of 3,371, according to the United States Census Bureau.
Trump revealed in a post on his top-rated social media platform, Truth Social, that over 75,000 supporters attended his rally, despite temperatures being over 90 degrees.
“Over 75,000 people came to our incredible Rally yesterday in South Carolina, despite an almost 100 degree temperature. It was amazing, THE PEOPLE WERE GREAT. Thank you Pickens,” Trump wrote.
Trump spoke at 1 p.m. on that hot July day and supporters began lining up for the rally a day prior.
Not only is Trump crushing DeSantis in crowd turnout, either! On Wednesday, Trump’s campaign announced they have raised over $45.5 million in the third fundraising quarter and have over $37.5 million in cash on hand, beating Governor DeSantis handily.
Trump’s third-quarter fundraising also easily beats his second-quarter fundraising of $10 million and is nearly double his first-quarter fundraising.
“In an impressive testament to the overwhelming grassroots support behind President Trump that will lead to dominating victories, close to $36 million of the total cash on hand is designated for the primary,” the Trump campaign wrote in a statement.
“The Q3 numbers are even more impressive considering the Summer months are usually when most campaigns experience lagging fundraising support. President Trump and his campaign have completely shattered that notion,” the statement reads.
For comparison, DeSantis only managed to raise $15 million in the third quarter and only has $5 million in cash on hand.
“Meanwhile, the DeSanctimonious campaign admits to only having $5 million cash on hand available for the primary election — a grave indication that Ron’s candidacy may not live to see the Iowa caucuses in January, or even, the end of this month,” the Trump campaign wrote.
“While DeSanctus’ fundraising, like his poll numbers, has seen an exponential drop even from July, President Trump outraised his impressive $35 million haul in Q2 (which doubled Q1 fundraising) by more than $10 million,” the campaign added.
Trump is now leading all Republican primary opponents with 65 percent support in the latest Survey USA poll.
According to the survey from September 30 to October 3 among 1,055 registered voters, Trump came in first place with 65 percent support, 56 points ahead of DeSantis’ nine percent.
In third place, businessman Vivek Ramaswamy received eight percent support.
Meanwhile, President Trump has been crushing it in all polling. A HarrisX poll released last week between President Donald Trump and President Joe Biden showed Trump beating Biden by five points.
HarrisX polled 3,015 registered voters from September 13 to 19 and showed Trump beating Biden by five points with 46 percent to Biden’s 41 percent, outside the margin of error of plus or minus 1.8 points.
This poll came just one day after the far-left Washington Post and ABC News released a poll showing President Joe Biden losing to President Trump by a whopping 10 points, which is devastating news for Team Biden.
The poll surveyed 1,006 U.S. adults from September 15 to 20 and found that if the 2024 presidential election were held today, Trump would win the popular vote with 52 percent to Biden’s 42 percent - a 10-point landslide.
Considering the flies outnumbered the supporters at Biden rallies. I don’t consider this a good comparison.
It’s obvious DeSantis effed up by not waiting till 2028.
And Billy Jo Biden and his RATs bus their crowds in from all over the world. It appears their next big crowd will be coming in from GAZA.
“Please clap” part 2
What is the sound of one hand clapping?
Trump’s boast about 75,000 fans at his South Carolina rally undercut by the Secret Service
https://www.rawstory.com/trump-crowd-size/
The Secret Service has a slightly different count in the town of just over 3,000 where parking spaces on Saturday were filled early. Around 11 a.m., a secret service agent told the News there are 5,000 inside the gate and approximately 10,000 still in line.”
Pretty sure he has killed his 2028 chances, also.
Yea, so?
That’s 14,999 more then Biden could ever pull.
5,000 + 10,000 = 75,000.
Trump math.
Since we are talking about primary’s the comparison is relevant.
And the actual interview is hilarious:
Biden staffers: " We really didn't try to get anyone here"
Riiiiight...
2020 showed us that numbers at a rally won’t hold a candle to ballots counted.
Look who’s back. First post I’ve seen of you since your last abrupt departure and it’s on a Trump thread. You’re incapable of learning.
De Santis, still in his forties, was busy getting 300 Americans in Israel back to Florida last night, after the horrific attack on 1200 civilians this week, while the rapidly aging Trump, good friend of Lindsey Graham, appeared on Truth social to rant and rage about something or another he saw on some TV cable news outlet.
That's the biggest crowd he's drawn yet! Captive audience.
Uh oh, that means he’s going to win via cheating.
Glad he took advantage of Florida budget surplus to save people and to help his campaign. A win win for him.
OK, we get it — Trump is more popular than DeSantis. But DeSantis is right to stay in this for the long haul because MAGA Republicans need a back-up with a solid record of accomplishments. DeSantis’ natural life expectancy is far greater than that of Trump, who could be taken-out by the left before dying of natural causes.
Since we are hoping for the end result the comparison is invalid.
Trump lost to a guy who couldn’t draw more humans than flies.
Yup he cheated to win. He’s still in the White House.
Trump or DeSantis I’m fine with either. Because I don’t support the communist.
