The first flight under Gov. Ron DeSantis’ executive order to rescue Americans from Israel arrived Sunday night, bringing with it around 300 Americans.
The flight arrived in Tampa around 8 p.m. ET.
“There was a devoid of leadership, so we stepped up and led,” DeSantis said in a video at the airport.
DeSantis thanked Project Dynamo for helping rescue the citizens from the war-ridden region after Hamas launched brutal terror attacks on Israel. Project Dynamo says it conducts operations “where the U.S. government lacks access or a presence” to rescue “vulnerable populations.” It is a Veteran-led nonprofit.
DeSantis signed the emergency executive order last Thursday.
“We will not leave our residents behind,” DeSantis said Thursday. “To the many Floridians who are stuck in Israel, trying to get home — help is on the way.”

Trump was too busy criticizing Netanyahu and stating how smart Hezbollah is.
Trump is a private citizen. Therefore he can’t “order” anything. 🤦♀️
Go Florida! Earlier in the week, one of our Congressmen went and brought out a couple of plane loads. This state knows how to do it…our Federal government has failed us and it’s up to our states.
I read that the Feds, when they did finally decide to provide flights (after telling Americans to Uber to a border and take a taxi from there to the nearest airport and see what they could find!) were asking for a promissory note for the price of the flight. Meanwhile, they’re flying illegal immigrants all around the country for free.
Was St. Ronaldus piloting the plane too? 🤣

Biden has to counter with. Maybe confidently take the pilot’s seat on a jumbo jet and go over get some hostages out of that war zone himself. He didn’t have fish for dinner. He had tapioca and melba toast with strawberry jam.

There was a group in Israel that was working on getting people out.
desantis basically signed an order to spend money to arrange to get people out, so the state of Florida got in touch with this group and spent money.

Americans in the hundreds have turned to Project DYNAMO to find a way out of Israel as airlines pause services and avenues out of the country continue to disappear.
“My team of case managers, who are based in America, they’ve been awake for three days just fielding hundreds and hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of requests from Americans who are stuck,”
Stern mentioned on several occasions that he received requests from Americans in Gaza but stressed the limits of his resources. He said that the group has access to around a dozen planes, with the smallest able to hold 150 passengers, and the group heavily relies on donations to operate.
So having said all of that, funding drives everything,” he added. “As a veteran-led, donor-funded nonprofit … these boats don’t pay for themselves. Flights don’t pay for themselves,” acknowledging he has seen small increase in donations but “not enough.”
“A plane out of here is going to cost $300,000 to $400,000, and we’re not making anything close to that,” he stressed. “So we’re going have to change our calculus a little bit.”
This group was already in israel, trying to get people out. Money just helped.
He does not have the means, or connections to do this now. He holds no office, as you well know. Ridiculous thought.

Yeah, that’s how the media portrays it. Trump has very high confidence in Netanyahu’s abilities to lead a nation and basically what President Trump meant was “Bibi, I know you can do much better”.
And he would never come out and literally call Hezbollah smart, that would be considered a
political blunder. What Trump was really saying is that Israel is stupid.
Awesome job by DeSantis. The federal government is nothing more than a law enforcement-protected version of organized crime and can get nothing productive done for its citizenry.
Lady I know and who served at Benghazi just posted that her network just got the last American wife out of Afghanistan a week or so ago.
