They've dropped this into an off-year election where too many voters just yawn if anyone mentions voting at all. Same trick our school district uses when they want to sneak another millage past us.
On my own ballot I've got three county offices where incumbents are running unopposed, plus this child-murder amendment, plus one to legalize marijuana.
There's one radical Dem household in the village that can be counted on to plaster their yard with "Yes on 1" signs, and they have. On my drive to the supermarket, where I'd see a dozen Trump signs, just ONE "No on 1" yard sign so far.
