Perhaps. But he may not last long in China anyway with their domestic market putting out much cheaper electric cars. However, Musk has opened Twitter up to people such as Tucker Carlson. He purportedly wants it to be a free and open public square. He’s also offered content creators 100% of their ad revenues for a year (minus Apple fees). So whether and how he is able to walk that balance will be interesting to see unfold. Musk also wants to take on Apple and Google in various areas - he rebranded X because he wants it to be an all-purpose social media search payments content platform, not just a place for snarky comments from bitter people.
They invited Musk in to steal the technology.
