COTTON: BIDEN SUPPLEMENTAL SPENDING PROPOSAL IS DEAD ON ARRIVAL FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: Caroline Tabler or James Arnold (202) 224-2353 October 20, 2023

Cotton: Biden Supplemental Spending Proposal is Dead on Arrival

Washington, D.C. — Senator Tom Cotton (R-Arkansas) released the following statement after President Biden released his proposed supplemental spending bill:

“President Biden’s slush fund proposal is dead on arrival, just like his budgets. We will not spend, for example, $3.5 billion to address the ‘potential needs of Gazans,’ essentially functioning as a resupply line for Hamas terrorists.

****“We will also not spend $11.8 billion to fund the Ukrainian government’s own non-war spending, such as funding retirement pensions for Ukrainian government employees.****** Nor will we spend $4.7 billion for housing, transportation, and ‘services’ for illegal aliens in the United States rather than deporting them.

“The Biden proposal is going nowhere, and Senate Republicans will take the lead on crafting a funding bill that protects Americans and their interests.”

Biden wants another $106 billion for those M/E inhalers of tax dollars.

====================================================

snip

In total, about $113.1 billion in funding for Ukraine was authorized in 2022, according to an analysis by the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget. Most of that – about $67.1 billion – was for defense-related spending, the CRFB said. The other $46 billion included $26.9 billion for an economic support fund; $7.9 billion for international disaster assistance; $6.6 billion in assistance for refugees; $1.5 billion for assistance for Europe, Eurasia and Central Asia; plus another $3.1 billion for other nondefense spending.

The U.S. Agency for International Development has been coordinating with the Treasury Department to distribute authorized economic aid to Ukraine in tranches. In a report published on Feb. 17, USAID said it had so far provided $13 billion in “direct budget support” to the government of Ukraine, or “GoU” for short.

“This funding has helped the Ukraine pay the salaries of 618,000 educators, 517,000 health workers, and 56,500 first responders,” the report says. “It has also helped them to sustain critical healthcare services, meet its pension responsibilities for 9.8 million people, assist 1.3 million internally displaced persons, provide housing assistance to 4.1 million people, and provide social assistance to 240,000 low-income families and 480,000 persons with disabilities.”

That report did not say how much was spent on pensions, but a USAID spokesperson sent us another USAID report to Congress that indicated $4 billion of budget support for Ukraine was spent on pensions as of Nov. 30, 2022.

The bottom line: While the video of Biden talking about providing funding to pay Ukrainian pensioners may have caught some by surprise, the fact is that Biden made those comments BEFORE Congress approved the money months ago on a bipartisan basis.

Update, Feb. 23, 2023: After we published this story, a USAID spokesperson responded to our request for more information. We updated this story to include the amount spent on pensions

This is what we’ve come to. We’ve fallen so low as a country that an American
candidate is only electable by whatever he says (and doe$) about a foreign country.

A demented Biden’s reelection chance were nil, according to the laws of diminishing returns...........
until the attack on Israel fell in his lap. Now he’s suddenly morphed into a “strong, decisive “leader.”

Our own (cough) “president” is hectoring Congress.....not to finance America’s needs.....
Biden wants another $106 billion for Israel and Ukraine.

Biden’s spending billions we do not have, then saddles taxpayers with the onerous borrowing costs.
Taxpayers’ children and grandchildren are compelled to pay the outrageous bills.

<><>Why does the US have to go into debt for these pampered foreigners?
<><>Why cant they stand on their own two feet?
<><>Why cant wealthy Israel and money-grubbing Ukraine do the borrowing for their own needs?

Biden’s call for more war cash includes $14 billion to facilite the entry of illegals

FTA——Biden’s idea of “border security” is another sop to foreigners.
Faster processing times for illegals allowed into the country.

Biden wants every “asylum claim” treated equally,
<><>whether one is a tattooed male cartel member,
<><>a red-tshirted Chavista slum enforcer,
<><>a product of Venezuela’s emptied jails,
<><>an economic migrant country-shopping for the best handout.

Buried deep within candidate Biden’s $106 billion suckup to foreigners was an afterthought......
$14 billion tax dollars sought under the guise of .....drum roll please.......“border security”

Joe Biden seeks your Billions to Fly, Bus More Migrants into U.S. Communities

SOURCE: Breitbart ^ | 10/20/2023 | NEIL MUNRO

Biden’s deputies are asking Congress for an extra $14 billion tax dollars to help bus illegal migrants up to the U.S. border and onward into hotels in many cities and towns around the nation.

The request is being touted as “border security” even though very few funds would be used to exclude economic migrants.

For example, Biden’s deputies have ushered more than 300,000 economic migrants through the U.S. border in September alone. The 2023 inflow has added up to roughly 2.5 million, not counting legal migrants and temporary workers.

Instead, much of the $14 billion requested would be used
<><>to help more job-seeking migrants reach the U.S. border,
<><>to register and release them,
<><>and then bus them to hotels, job training, and American workplaces around the US.

How did putting the government itself on welfare work out in Afghanistan or in Iraq?

When an entire country becomes a welfare recipient, does this make the people of that country appreciate the U.S. and make them want to defend their country, or do they come to think defending their country as well as working are for Americans to do, and not them?

For that matter, how is welfare working out in this country? Do the people on welfare appreciate what the taxpayers do for them, or do they want more, including reparations and whatever else comes to their mind, to the point where they shoplift and steal whatever they can, and shoot store clerks who are a bit slow in serving them?

A Third of the “Humanitarian Aid” for Ukraine’s Military has ‘Disappeared’
Kiev Post ^ | 10/20/23 | Kiev Post
Posted on 10/20/2023, 10:58:32 AM by JonPreston

Around a third of the humanitarian aid intended for the armed forces did not reach the 200 or so military units for which it was intended after clearing customs, the State Customs Service of Ukraine has said.

“During 9 months of 2023, as a result of the joint measures of the Department for Combating Smuggling and Customs Violations of the State Customs Service and the Department of Internal Audit of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, more than 9,000 instances of the movement of humanitarian aid goods intended for 200 military units were checked,” the agency said. In doing so they established more than 3,000 cases of where its receipt by military units had not been confirmed.

Customs also reported that they had sent 387 reports that indicated possible criminal actions the Criminal Code of Ukraine [regarding illegal use of humanitarian aid for profit - ed.]

A demented Biden’s reelection chance were nil, according to the laws
of diminishing returns........until the attack on Israel fell in his lap.

Now he’s suddenly morphed into a strong, decisive “leader.”

In Israel:
<><>Biden told Netanyahu he would offer support and he expected Israel to prioritize protection of civilians and humanitarian concerns.

<><>Biden “formally announced” the “already-arranged deal” to allow humanitarian assistance to move into Gaza from Egypt, and $100 million in new aid for those in need among Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank.......which was hammered out “WITH Israel in Washington” BEFORE Biden left.

<><>Biden also told Netanyahu that he would go to the Congress with a military support package for Israel of “unprecedented size.” (source yahoo.com)

snip

Backstory: Since 1973, Israel has received more than $120 billion US tax
dollars in MILITARY assistance alone, including “three special aid” packages.
<><>billions for signing the Israel-Egypt peace treaty
<><>billions for Israel’s withdrawal from the Sinai.
<><>billions for redeployment of Israeli forces
<><>rebuilding Israeli air bases in the Negev cost $5 billion.

Not content w/ the mega billions already in his pocket, Zelensky now says
he wants US tax dollars to Ukraine according to the Israeli model......here’s what he means:

Congressional Research Service
US Foreign aid to Israel
60 page detailed report

https://crsreports.congress.gov/product/pdf/RL/RL33222/44

The concerned Israeli lobby made sure Congress is required by law to ensure that U.S. military aid in the Middle East region doesn’t damage Israel’s military superiority over its neighbors. That requirement enjoys broad bipartisan support and has served as a benchmark for ensuring Israel receives robust U.S. support.

I guess Biden got a call from Redstone WRT M/E funding.

Media mogul billionaire, Shari Redstone, was peddling a hidden agenda at a posh closed gathering of Jewish and Black Hollywood Power Players in elitist Spago restaurant, where she shared her “profound grief,” about the Israeli attack, anti-semitism and (cough) racism.

It was amazing that in her “profound grief” over the attack on her beloved
country of Israel, knee jerk liberal Shari Redstone was still able to summon
up riffs on diversity, virtue signalling, and assorted other liberal shibboleths.

Redstone’s media empire includes MTV and Comedy Central, which unceasingly
mock Christianity and spread LGBT propaganda, and other liberal America hatred.

She is one of the most powerful people in Hollywood, an observant Jew
and a supporter of Israel, who says she’s been “reeling” since Oct. 7.

But oddly enough, Redstone still had the PC cojones to make sure
Hollywood’s Black artists were obeisant witnesses to her “grief.”

BTW, despite Redstone’s efforts (her hidden agenda), we still
haven’t heard Hollywood Blacks condemn the Hamas attack.

Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar Certifies 2022-23 State Budget

(AUSTIN) — Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar today announced his certification of Senate Bill 1, the general appropriations act that was approved by both houses during the recently gaveled regular session of the 87th Texas Legislature. The bill now heads to the desk of Gov. Greg Abbott.

SB 1 appropriates $248.6 billion in total spending for the state’s budget during the 2022-23 biennium. It is certified based on the most recent total revenue projection released in May, which included an upward revision of $3.1 billion in General Revenue-Related funds after a decline in COVID-19 cases contributed to a further opening of the Texas economy, and substantive federal action on relief funding.

Repugnicans got rolled again by a nursing home patient.

Biden's handlers know that this ridiculous ask cannot be acted upon because the House has no leader.

He now has a cudgel to use to blame the Repugs for not helping poor Ukraine and Hamas (sniff).

I wish our choices were not just between evil and stupid but here we are.
