I had this happen once. After I retired from corporate work, for something to pass the time in retirement, I worked part-time at a dry goods store. One day a young black woman was spreading out some very expensive goods on the floor to "get a look at it." I was passing by helping an older black woman, and asked the young woman not to put the material on the floor, which was full of dirty footprints on that rainy day, and pointed out a nearby table she could use.

Fifteen minutes later, when I was standing with about a dozen customers, the young woman approached and began screaming that I was a racist, telling a greately exaggerated tale of what I had "done to" her. Whereupon the older black woman scolded her and said, "No, she did not do that to you! She was very polite to you when you were dirtying up the store's goods you had not paid for!"

What a moment! What a woman! If she had grown up in the U.S. instead of her home country in Africa, it's doubtful she would have helped in that situation.

The whole article is misleading. It seems the girl was sitting outside the professor’s office playing something loud on her computer. When the professor asked her to turn it down or leave the brat refused and told the professor to close her door. Close her door during office hours? No. That’s when your office door is open. The brat admits she turned up the volume just for spite.

The school covered up the real story because they are probably desperate for applicants. Most small private schools are and this school only has about 1500 students. They probably gave the brat free tuition to shut her up.
